Premiering tonight is the Showtime documentary My Psychedelic Love Story directed by Errol Morris. The film’s original music is composed by Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Dynasty, Tales from the Loop, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D) who previously collaborated with Morris on the Netflix series Wormwood and the features The B-Side: Elsa Dorfman’s Portrait Photography and American Dharma. The movie, which examines the notorious high priest of LSD Timothy Leary through the eyes of his famed lover Joanna Harcourt-Smith, premiered at this year’s AFI Fest and will debut exclusively on Showtime.

Premiering on Friday, December 4, is the Disney+ original movie Godmothered directed by Sharon Maguire and starring Isla Fisher, Jillian Bell, Jane Curtin, Jillian Shea Spaeder (who also contributed new songs to the project), Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Willa Skye, Santiago Cabrera, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Artemis Pebdani, Stephnie Weir, June Squibb and Carlease Burke. Cho Young-wuk Scoring Zhang Yimou’s ‘Impasse’

Earlier this month, Cho Young-wuk (Oldboy, Lady Vengeance, The Little Drummer Girl, Thirst, The Handmaiden) has recorded his score for the upcoming Chinese spy thriller Impasse. The film is directed by Zhang Yimou (Hero, House of Flying Daggers) and stars Zhang Yi, Yu Hewei, Zhu Yawen, Qin Hailu, Ni Dahong and Liu Haocun. The movie centers on the escape of a group of CCP agents who have obtained proof the Japanese are conducting unethical human experiments. Liwei Pang (Shadow, One Second) is producing the project. Theme Song from Apple TV+ Series ‘Stillwater’ Released

Joyful Noise Recordings has released the theme song from the new Apple TV+ animated series Stillwater. Never Ending Dream is written and performed by Kishi Bashi who is also co-scoring the show with Toby Chu. The song is now available to stream/download exclusively on Apple Music/iTunes. Stillwater based on the Caldecott Honor Children’s book series by Jon J Muth features the voices of James Sie, Judah Mackey, Eva Binder  and Tucker Chandler and tells the story of a beautiful friendship formed between three siblings and their next-door neighbor, a wise panda named Stillwater. Already playing in theaters nationwide since this past Wednesday is the animated sequel The Croods: A New Age directed by Joel Crawford and starring Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Mann, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke, Cloris Leachman, Peter Dinklage and Kelly Marie Tran. The film’s original score is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, THE LEGO Movie,  21/22 Jump Street, Hotel Transylvania). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song Feel The Thunder performed by HAIM. Opening in select theaters and on VOD this week is the biographical drama Stardust co-written and directed by Gabriel Range and starring Johnny Flynn, Jena Malone, Marc Maron, Anthony Flanagan, Aaron Poole, Derek Moran, Julian Richings and Monica Parker. Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Calibre, This Beautiful Fantastic, Lost Girls, The Pale Horse) has composed the film’s original score. No word on a soundtrack release. ‘The X-Files’ Volume 4 Soundtrack Album Details Announced

La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the Fox mystery drama The X-Files created by Chris Carter and starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. The 4-CD set features previously unreleased music from the series composed by Emmy Award nominee Mark Snow (Millennium, Smallville, The New Mutants, La Femme Nikita, Blue Bloods). Among the episodes featured on the album are Apocrypha, Avatar, Never Again, Triangle, Invocation and Nothing Important Happened Today. Also included is the finale music from the second X-Files movie Fight the Future. Passyunk Productions and Human Re Sources have released the original end credits song American Heartbreak from the HBO special Between the World and Me. The track is performed by Black Thought feat. Ledisi and co-written by themselves, James Poyser and Salaam Remi. Visit Apple Music/iTunes to stream/download the song. Between the World and Me directed by Kamilah Forbes is based on the 2018 adaptation and staging of Ta-Nehisi Coates’ 2015 book of the same title at the Apollo Theater and combines elements of the stage production, including readings from Coates’ book, which recounts the author’s experiences growing up in Baltimore’s inner city and his growing fear of daily violence against the Black community, and incorporates documentary footage from the actors’ home life, archival footage, and animation. Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the documentary Audrey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alex Somers (Captain Fantastic, Honey Boy, Miss Americana, Aloha, Charm City Kings, Manhattan). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 11, 2020 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. Audrey is directed by Helena Coan and centers on Hollywood star Audrey Hepburn who won her first Academy Award at the age of 24, and went on to become one of the world’s greatest cultural icons. World Premiere Soundtrack Release for Ron Underwood’s ‘Tremors’ Announced

La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere official soundtrack release for the 1990 horror comedy Tremors directed by Ron Underwood and starring Kevin Bacon, Fred Ward, Finn Carter, Michael Gross and Reba McEntire. The album, which is being released as part of the label’s Universal Pictures Film Music Classics Collection, features the original score from the film composed by Ernest Troost (Dead Heat, One Man’s Hero), as well as additional music composed by Robert Folk (Police Academy, Toy Soldiers, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls). Avildsen and starring Ralph Macchio, Pat Morita, Robyn Lively and Thomas Ian Griffith. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Kaefer (A Score to Settle, Quantum Break) and Michael Dean Parsons. Only is written and directed by Takashi Doscher and stars Leslie Odom Jr., Freida Pinto, Chandler Riggs, Jayson Warner Smith and Tia Hendricks.
