Vegetal has released a soundtrack album for the crime comedy The Jesus Rolls. The album features the film’s original music written by French singer/songwriter and composer Emilie Simon, including the end credits song Always Now. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. The Jesus Rolls is written and directed by John Turturro who also stars in the film as Jesus Quintana (which he previously portrayed in the Coen Brothers’ The Big Lebowksi), alongside Audrey Tautou, Susan Sarandon, Christopher Walken, Pete Davidson and Jon Hamm. Simon Boswell (Shallow Grave, Lord of Illusions, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The War Zone) is composing the original music for the upcoming British comedy Blithe Spirit. The film is directed by Edward Hall and stars Dan Stevens, Leslie Mann, Isla Fisher, Judi Dench, Emilia Fox, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Adil Ray, Michelle Dotrice and Aimee-Ffion Edwards. The movie is based on the classic play of the same title by Noël Coward and revolves around a crime author who invites an eccentric mystic to his home in hopes of curing a terrible case of writer’s block he encounters as he tries to finish his first script. The show is based on The New York Times best-selling book of the same name and explores one man’s search for the father who abandoned him, only to uncover the worst: he believes his father is the Zodiac killer, one of the most infamous serial killers in American history. The 4-parter is directed by Kief Davidson (A Lego Brickumentary) who is also executive producing the project with Ross M. Dinerstein (The Innocent Man, 6 Balloons, 1922). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for Pixar SparkShorts’ Loop. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark Orton (Nebraska, The Good Girl, My Old Lady) . Loop is written and directed by Erica Milsom and features the voices of Madison Bandy, Christiano ‘Chachi’ Delgado and Louis Gonzales. The Pixar Animation Studios production follows a non-verbal, autistic girl and a chatty boy who are partnered on a canoeing trip and must both learn how the other experiences the world. The only movie opening nationwide today is the sci-fi horror movie The Invisible Man written and directed by Leigh Whannell and starring Elisabeth Moss, Aldis Hodge, Storm Reid, Harriet Dyer and Oliver Jackson-Cohen . The film’s original music is composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Shazam!, Blade Runner 2049, Hidden Figures, Annabelle Creation, Lights Out). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Alexander Bornstein (First to the Moon, Paradox, The Last Heist, Black Site Delta) has been hired to score the upcoming Netflix animated series Transformers – War for Cybertron: Siege. The show based on Hasbro’s toy franchise is the first part of a trilogy and begins in the final hours of the devastating civil war between the Autobots and Decepticon. The 6-parter follows two leaders, Optimus Prime and Megatron, as they both want to save their world and unify their people, but only on their own terms. Among the series’ voice cast are Jake Foushee (as Optimus Prime), Jason Marnocha (as Megatron), Linsay Rousseau (as Elita-1), Joe Zieja (as Bumblebee), Frank Todaro, Rafael Goldstein, Keith Silverstein, Todd Haberkorn, Edward Bosco, Bill Rogers, Sophia Isabella, Brook Chalmers, Shawn Hawkins, Kaiser Johnson, Miles Luna and Mark Whitten.
