‘Onward’ Soundtrack Details

The full details of the soundtrack album for Pixar’s animated feature Onward have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Capote, Little Miss Sunshine) and Jeff Danna (The Addams Family, Storks, The Boondock Saints) who have previously scored the studios’ The Good Dinosaur. Also included is the original end credits song Carried Me With You performed by Brandi Carlile who also co-wrote the track with Phil Hanseroth and Tim Hanseroth. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album for the BBC series The Mallorca Files. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Charlie Mole (An Ideal HusbandThe Importance of Being EarnestDorian GrayOthelloDad’s Army), including the songs Surrender and Time on Our Side performed by Anna Ross. The album features the film’s original music composed by Will Blair & Brooke Blair (Green RoomHold the Dark, Black Christmas, The InformerI Don’t Feel at Home in This World AnymoreBlue Ruin). Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for Pixar’s animated short series Forky Asks a Question. The album features the original music from all ten episodes the show composed by Jake Monaco (Let’s Be CopsKeeping Up with the Joneses, Lamp Life, Dumplin’Absolutely Fabulous: The MovieLike a Boss) who previously worked on the Pixar short Piper. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alexander Sowinski and Leland Whitty of the Canadian instrumental music group BadBadNotGood. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 28 and will be available to stream/download here. Disappearance at Clifton Hill is directed by Albert Shin and stars Tuppence Middleton, Hannah Gross, Marie-Josée Croze, Eric Johnson and David Cronenberg. Perfect Youth Culture & Media has released the title song from the Hong Kong action adventure Enter the Fat Dragon. The track is performed by the film’s star Donnie Yen (feat. Jasmine Yen). Chan Kwong Wing (Infernal Affairs, The Warlords, Dragon) composed the songs and Chu Chun Yin, Deng Jie and Fiona Fung have written the lyrics. Enter the Fat Dragon is now available to stream/download as a digital single, which also includes an instrumental version, on Amazon. The movie directed by Kenji Tanigaki and starring Yen, alongside Teresa Mo, Niki Chow and Wong Jing revolves around a routine police escort mission that goes terribly wrong when the suspect at the center of a drug investigation suggets a mysterious death. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first two seasons composed by Sally Seltmann & Darren Seltmann. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, March 6 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Letdown is created by Sarah Scheller & Alison Bell and stars Bell herself, Duncan Fellows, Noni Hazlehurst, Sacha Horler, Lucy Durack, Leon Ford, Celeste Barber, Taylor Ferguson, Xana Tang, Sarah Peirse and Leah Vandenberg. Joseph Stephens (Observe and ReportEastbound & DownFlowerVice Principals) is the composer of the upcoming Amazon original series Upload. The show is created by Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation) and stars Robbie Amell, Andy Allo, Allegra Edwards, Zainab Johnson and Kevin Bigley. The sci-fi comedy is set in a technologically advanced future and follows a young app developer who – following a near-death car accident – chooses to be uploaded to her family’s luxurious virtual afterlife. Deutsche Grammophon will release a soundtrack album for Jóhann Jóhannsson’s feature directorial debut Last and First Men. The album features the original music written by the late composer whose film scoring credits include Arrival, The Theory of Everything, Prisoners & Sicario and Yair Elazar Glotman and also features musical performances by Academy Award winner Hildur Guðnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, February 28 (click here to pre-order). A CD/Blu-ray combo version is set to come out on March 27 (visit Amazon to order) and a vinyl/Blu-ray box set will arrive on April 10 (click here to order). Last and First Men narrated by Tilda Swinton is based on  Jóhannsson’s multimedia work (which itself is based on on the 1930 novel by Olaf Stapledon), which was presented as a live performance at the Manchester International Festival in 2017 and involved the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.
