Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the live-action remake of DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon written and directed by Dean DeBlois and stars Mason Thames, Gerard Butler, Nico Parker, Julian Dennison, Nick Frost, Gabriel Howell, Ruth Codd, Harry Trevaldwyn and Bronwyn James. The film’s original music is composed by John Powell (The Bourne Identity, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Happy Feet, Wicked, Don’t Worry Darling, Shrek, X-Men: The Last Stand, Bolt). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Check out our previous news article for the full album details and to learn more about the movie, which is being released by Universal Pictures.

Also opening nationwide is the romantic comedy drama Materialists written and directed by Celine Song and starring Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, Chris Evans, Zoë Winters, Martin Ireland, Dasha Nekrasova, Louisa Jacobson and John Magaro. Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Bad Guys, Steve Jobs, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Enola Holmes, Birds of Prey) has composed the film’s original score. A24 Music has released a soundtrack album featuring Pemberton’s music, as well as an original song by Japanese Breakfast and two songs performed by Baby Rose today. Original Song ‘Don’t Mess with Us’ from Disney Channel’s ‘Zombies 4’ Released

Walt Disney Records has released the second song from the soundtrack for the upcoming Disney Channel original movie Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires. The track, entitled Don’t Mess with Us, is written by Chantry Johnson, Michelle Zarlenga & Mitch Allan and performed by cast members Milo Manheim, Meg Donnelly, Freya Skye, Malachi Barton, Julian Lerner, Swayam Bhatia & Mekonnen Knife and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. ‘Brokeback Mountain’ 20th Anniversary Vinyl Edition Soundtrack Album Announced

Verve Forecast & Focus Features have announced the premiere vinyl release of the soundtrack album for the 2005 drama Brokeback Mountain directed by Ang Lee and starring Heath Ledger, Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway and Michelle Williams. The album, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 20th anniversary, features the film’s Academy Award-winning original score and songs (performed by Emmylou Harris, Teddy Thompson & Mary McBride) composed by Gustavo Santaolalla (The Last of Us, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Book of Life,  August: Osage County), as well as songs by Willie Nelson, Rufus Wainwright & others. The vinyl edition, which is housed in a deluxe gatefold jacket and includes a 16-page booklet featuring rare photos from the film’s production, will be released in number of unique color variants on September 19. Atlantic Records has released the eighth track from the soundtrack for the sports action drama F1. Available to stream/download on all major digital music services is Underdog co-written (with D.A. Got That Dope, Adrienne Erin Byrne, Israel Houghton II & Keith Parker) and performed by Roddy Ricch. Also listen to the track after the jump. Sumerian Records has released a new soundtrack album for the biographical sports drama Queen of the Ring. The album features the film’s original score composed by Aaron Gilhuis (Bandit, Me, Parallax, Life by Ella, The Miseducation of Bindu, Christmas Is Canceled). Soundtrack Album for National Geographic’s ‘Underdogs’ Released

Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album for the National Geographic original documentary series Underdogs. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, Shrek, The Martian, The Gilded Age, Gladiator 2, Mulan, Chicken Run, The Meg). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first and final track after the jump. The series’ theme song, Underdog by Green Day, is available separately on the band’s latest record, Saviors (édition de luxe). Underdogs is narrated by Ryan Reynolds and centers on animal kingdom’s outcasts, with each episode showcasing a different aspect of these underdogs’ bizarre mating strategies,  deception, dubious parenting skills, surprising superpowers and gross-out behaviors. ‘Jaws’ 50th Anniversary Edition Soundtrack Album to Be Released

Back Lot Music will release a new soundtrack album for Steven Spielberg’s 1975 classic Jaws starring Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, Murray Hamilton and Lorraine Gary. The album, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 50th anniversary, features the newly remastered original score from the film composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Williams (Star Wars, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, June 20 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list. Anna Drubich (Barbarian, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Fear Street Part 3: 1666, Werewolves Within, Time Cut, Sting) and Martina Eisenreich & Michael Kadelbach (One Trillion Dollars, The Next Level) have provided the original score for the upcoming German Netflix original film Brick. The movie is written and directed by Philip Koch (Picco, Sixty Minutes) and stars Matthias Schweighöfer, Ruby O. Fee, Frederick Lau, Murathan Muslu, Salber Lee Williams, Sira-Anna Faal, Axel Werner and Alexander Beyer. The thriller follows a man and a woman who awake trapped in their apartment behind an impenetrable, futuristic wall which has materialized overnight and must unite with their wary neighbors to get out alive. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the supernatural horror feature Rosario. The album features the film’s original music composed by Will Blair & Brooke Blair (Green Room, Rebel Ridge, The Informer, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore, Hold the Dark, Blue Ruin, Black Christmas, Sweet Virginia). Sarmen Almond is the featured score vocalist. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 13 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon.
