Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the live-action remake of DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon written and directed by Dean DeBlois and stars Mason Thames, Gerard Butler, Nico Parker, Julian Dennison, Nick Frost, Gabriel Howell, Ruth Codd, Harry Trevaldwyn and Bronwyn James. The film’s original music is composed by John Powell (The Bourne Identity, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Happy Feet, Wicked, Don’t Worry Darling, Shrek, X-Men: The Last Stand, Bolt). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening nationwide is the romantic comedy drama Materialists written and directed by Celine Song and starring Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, Chris Evans, Zoë Winters, Martin Ireland, Dasha Nekrasova, Louisa Jacobson and John Magaro. Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Bad Guys, Steve Jobs, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Enola Holmes, Birds of Prey) has composed the film’s original score. A24 Music has released a soundtrack album featuring Pemberton’s music, as well as an original song by Japanese Breakfast and two songs performed by Baby Rose today.
