Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the indie drama Driveways. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jay Wadley (Indignation, Tales of the City, The OA, Adam, Cruise). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 8 and will be available to stream/download here. Driveways is directed by Andrew Ahn and stars Hong Chau, Lucas Jaye, Brian Dennehy and Christine Ebersole. The movie, which has received two Indie Spirit nominations this year for Chau and Hannah Bos’ & Paul Thureen’s screenplay, centers on a lonesome boy who accompanies his mother on a trip to clean out his late aunt’s house, where he ends up forming an unexpected friendship with the retiree who lives next door. ‘The Vasulka Effect’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Sony Masterworks will release a soundtrack album for the documentary The Vasulka Effect. The album features the film’s original music composed by the Icelandic post-rock duo Hugar (aka Bergur Þórisson and Pétur Jónsson). The soundtrack will be released on October 2, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Vasulka Effect is directed by Hrafnhildur Gunnarsdóttir and portrays the life and work of pioneers of video art: Icelandic violinist Steina Bjarnadóttir and Czech filmmaker Woody Vasulka. The Sagafilm & Krumma Films production follows the artists in present day in Santa Fe, forgotten by the art world, in the process of archiving their lives work and struggling to make ends meet. Jesse Novak (BoJack Horseman, The Mindy Project, Tuca & Bertie) is scoring the upcoming Netflix original series The Baby-Sitters Club. The show is based on the best-selling book series by Ann M. Martin and stars Sophie Grace, Malia Baker, Momona Tamada, Shay Rudolph, Xochitl Gomez, as well as Alicia Silverstone and Mark Feuerstein. The family dramedy follows a group of girlfriends and their homegrown babysitting business in Stoneybrook, Connecticut. Rachel Shukert serves as the showrunner is executive producing the poject with Martin, Michael De Luca (The Social Network, Captain Phillips), Walden Media’s Lucy Kitada & Naia Cucukov, Lucia Aniello (Broad City, Rough Night) who is also directing the series. Cleopatra Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Street Survivors: The True Story of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash. The album features Pat Traver’ cover of the Skynyrd classic Call Me the Breeze performed by Pat Travers, as well as songs performed by the sons of Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle. Also included are four tracks from the movie’s original score composed by Chris Ridenhour & Christopher Cano (Sharknado series, Zombie Tidal Wave, Flight 666) . Tyler Bates to Score James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’

Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, John Wick, 300, Watchmen, Hobbs & Shaw) has been tapped to score the upcoming superhero movie The Suicide Squad. The film is written and directed by James Gunn and stars Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman and Jai Courtney who reprise their roles from the 2016 original movie. They are joined by new cast members David Dastmalchian, Idris Elba, Daniela Melchior, Steve Agee, John Cena, Storm Reid, Flula Borg, Nathan Fillion, Peter Capaldi, Pete Davidson and Michael Rooker.
