Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the thriller The Quarry. The album features the film’s original score composed by Heather McIntosh (Compliance, Z for Zachariah, The Art of Self-Defense, Faults, 6 Balloons). Also included is the original song The Man written and performed by Academy Award winner Ryan Bingham. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, April 24 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Quarry is co-written and directed by Scott Teems and stars Shea Whigham, Michael Shannon, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Bobby Soto and Bruno Bichir. The movie is based on the novel by Damon Galgut and revolves around a drifter who kills a traveling preacher and takes his place at a small-town church, but the police chief suspects foul play. Opening on VOD today is the thriller The Quarry co-written and directed by Scott Teems and starring Shea Whigham, Michael Shannon, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Bobby Soto and Bruno Bichir. The film’s original music is composed by Heather McIntosh (Compliance, Z for Zachariah, The Art of Self-Defense, 6 Balloons). A soundtrack album will be announced soon. The movie, which is based on a novel by Damon Galgut and centers on a fugitive drifter who – after murdering a traveling preacher – travels to a small town and poses as the man he killed, is being released by Lionsgate.
Also opening on VOD today is the comedy Bad Therapy directed by Bill Teitler and starring Alicia Silverstone, Rob Corddry, Michaela Watkins, Haley Joel Osment, Aisha Tyler, Sarah Shahi and David Paymer. Nathan Larson (Boys Don’t Cry, Dirty Pretty Things, Margin Call, Juliet, Naked) has composed the film’s original score. No soundtrack album has been announced. The move, which follows a couple who see a marriage counselor to improve their relationship, which brings their marriage to the breaking point, is being distributed by Gravitas Ventures.
