‘Scoob!’ Soundtrack Album Details

Atlantic Records has announced the track list of the soundtrack album for the animated feature Scoob!. The album features the songs from the movie by artists including Thomas Rhett & Kane Brown feat. Ava Max, Jack Harlow, Pink Sweat$, R3HAB, Rico Nasty, Sage the Gemini, Rare Americans & others. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, May 15 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon. The first track, Summer Feelings by Lennon Stella feat. Charlie Puth, is now available to stream/download here. Scoob! is directed by Tony Cervone and features the voices of Zac Efron, Frank Welker, Gina Rodriguez, Amanda Seyfried, Will Forte, Mark Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, Kiersey Clemons and Jason Isaacs. The movie reveals how lifelong friends Scooby and Shaggy first met and how they joined with young detectives Fred, Velma and Daphne to form the famous Mystery Inc. Read the rest of this entry »

Netflix has announced today that songwriter Mikael Åkerfeldt, lead vocalist and guitarist of the metal band Opeth, is set to compose the music for the upcoming Netflix original series Clark. The show is co-written and directed by Jonas Åkerlund (Lords of Chaos, Polar) and stars Bill Skarsgård as Swedish criminal Clark Olofsson who has been referred to as a “celebrity gangster” and has given rise to the concept of Stockholm syndrome, managed to escape prisons and committed robberies all over Europe. The 6-parter is based Olofsson’s autobiography Vafan var det som hände and will follow his early years until present day. Pressure Cooker Music has released a soundtrack album for the western thriller Five Fingers for Marseilles. The album features the film’s original music composed by James Matthes (Vehicle 19, Vagrant Queen, Lake Placid: Legacy). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Five Fingers for Marseilles is directed by Michael Matthews and stars Vuyo Dabula, Zethu Dlomo, Hamilton Dhlamini, Kenneth Nkosi and Mduduzi Mabasco. Premiering tonight is the HBO limited series I Know This Much Is True written and directed by Derek Cianfrance and starring Mark Ruffalo, Melissa Leo, Rosie O’Donnell, Archie Panjabi, Imogen Poots, Philip Ettinger, John Procaccino, Rob Huebel, Aisling Franciosi, Bruce Greenwood, Brian Goodman, Juliette Lewis and Kathryn Hahn. Premiering on Wednesday, May 13, is the Netflix original film The Wrong Missy directed by Tyler Spindel and starring David Spade, Lauren Lapkus, Geoff Pierson, Sarah Chalke, Nick Swardson, Jackie Sandler, Chris Witaske  and Molly Sims. Dave Porter (Breaking Bad, Preacher, The Disaster Artist) is the composer of the new Starz original series Hightown. The show is created by Rebecca Cutter and stars Monica Raymund, James Badge Dale, Riley Voelkel, Shane Harper, Amaury Nolasco, Atkins Estimond and Dohn Norwood . The drama is set in idyllic, but bleak Cape Cod and follows one woman’s journey to sobriety, overshadowed by an unfolding murder investigation. Cutter is also executive producing the project with Gary Lennon (Power, Euphoria), Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean, Armageddon, Top Gun), Jonathan Littman (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami), KristieAnne Reed (Lucifer, L.A.’s Finest) and Ellen H. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the HBO original series Betty. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Aska Matsumiya (Skate Kitchen, Spelah and the Spades, 37 Seconds). Also included are songs by Cigarettes After Sex, Rosehardt, Ruby Haunt,  Volta Jazz & others. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, May 15 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Betty is created and directed by Crystal Moselle based on her feature Skate Kitchen and stars Dede Lovelace, Moonbear, Nina Moran, Ajani Russell and Rachelle Vinberg. Erick Schroder (Astro, American Christmas, No Man’s Land) is composing the original music for the upcoming horror thriller Chasing Nightmares. The film is written and directed by Chris McGowan and stars Anne Heche, Graham McTavish, Michelle Randolph, Spencer Daniels, Aubrey Cleland, Jay Huguley and Dana Daurey. The movie follows a college student who risks her and her friends’ lives to track down the meaning behind the nightmares she has about a girl and a delusional masked man. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the movie musical Valley Girl directed by Rachel Goldenberg and starring Jessica Rothe, Chloe Bennet, Ashleigh Murray, Joshua Whitehouse, Mae Whitman, Mario Revolori, Judy Greer, Alicia Silverstone and Camila Morrone. The film’s original score is composed by Roger Neill (King of the Hill, Beginners, 20th Century Women, Like Father). Harvey Mason Jr. serves as the project’s music producer. Opening in select (drive-in and virtual) theaters and other pop-up venues is the documentary Spaceship Earth directed by Matt Wolf about a group of countercultural visionaries who built an enormous replica of earth’s ecosystem called Biosphere 2 in 1991. Owen Pallett (Her, The BoxLife) has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score is in the works. Steven Bernstein & Julie Bernstein have recently been scoring the upcoming reboot of the animated series Animaniacs. Steven Spielberg returns as executive producer of the show, which revolves around Warner brothers, Yakko and Wakko, and the Warner sisters who have a great time wreaking havoc and mayhem in the lives of everyone they meet. Pinky and the Brain will also make appearances in each episode. Rob Paulsen, Jess Harnell,Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche and Frank Welker are among the project’s voice cast. Sam Register (Teen Titans, Ben 10), President of Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series, and Amblin Television Co-Presidents Justin Falvey & Darryl Frank (The Americans, Under the Dome) are also executive producing the project.
