EMI Music/Universal Music Australia will release the official soundtrack for the documentary Slim & I. The album features songs by the film’s subjects, the late Australian country music legend Slim Dusty and his wife, Joy McKean, as well as tracks by Troy Cassar-Daley, Kasey Chambers & Bill Chambers, Missy Higgins & others. Also included is the original song I Don’t Believe You written by Flora Smith & McKean and performed by Small Town Romance feat. Anne Kirkpatrick (listen to the track below). The soundtrack will be released physically and digitally on September 4, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, Groundhog Day, Ever After, Anna and the King, The Blue Planet) has recently recorded his score for the upcoming British comedy drama The Duke. The film is directed by Roger Michell (Notting Hill, Changing Lanes) and stars Jim Broadbent, Helen Mirren, Fionn Whitehead, Matthew Goode and Anna Maxwell Martin. The movie revolves around a 60 year-old London cab driver who in 1961 stole Goya’s portrait of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery, the only robbery in the museum’s history. Lakeshore Records has released a new soundtrack album for the sci-fi thriller Proximity. The album features the original songs from the movie by Radio Wolf and Parallels. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. The label has previously released a separate album featuring Jermaine Stegall’s original score from the film. Proximity is written and directed by Eric Demeusy and stars Ryan Masson, Highdee Kuan, Christian Prentice, Shaw Jones and Don Scribner. The show’s original music is composed by Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Horror Story, American Crime Story, Feud: Bette and Joan, Pose, Scream Queens, The Politician). Premiering on Wednesday, August 26 is the Netflix documentary Rising Phoenix directed by Ian Bonhote & Peter Ettedgui about the Paralympic Games and its evolution from the rubble of World War II to the third biggest sporting event on the planet.
