Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British political thriller Roadkill created by David Hare and starring Hugh Laurie, Helen McCrory, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Saskia Reeves, Patricia Hodge, Sarah Greene, Ophelia Lovibond, Katie Leung, Iain De Caestecker, Olivia Vinall, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Pippa Bennett-Warner and Pip Torrens.. The show’s original music is composed by Harry Escott (Shame, Hard Candy, Welcome to the Punch, A Mighty Heart). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score (to be released by Silva Screen Records) will be announced soon. Premiering on Thursday, November 5, is the Netflix original film Operation Christmas Drop directed by Martin Wood and starring Kat Graham, Alexander Ludwig, Virginia Madsen, Janet Kidder, Jeff Joseph, Bethany Brown, Trezzo Mahoro, Rohan Campbell, Aliza Vellani, Aaron Douglas, Xavier de Guzman and Bruce Best. Hamish Thomson (Chesapeake Shore , Love Locks) has composed the movie’s original score. The romantic comedy, which follows a by-the-book political aide who falls for a big-hearted Air Force pilot while looking to shut down his tropical base and its airborne Christmas tradition, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix. DGP Entertainment & Eagle Pictures have released a soundtrack album for the Italian romantic dramedy Out of My League (Sul più bello). The album features the film’s original score composed by Marco Cascone (Italo Barocco). Also included is the title song performed by Alfa & YANOMI, as well as a track by Landlord. Caldera Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for Mike Leigh’s 2004 British drama Vera Drake starring Imelda Staunton, Phil Davis, Daniel Mays & Eddie Marsan featuring the film’s original music composed by Andrew Dickson. Also included is the composer’s score for Leigh’s 2002 feature All or Nothing starring Timothy Spall & Lesley Manville, as well as selections of his music from Goran Paskaljevic’s Someone Else’s America and Noemie Lvovsky’s 2004 French drama Forget Me (Oublie-moi). The only movie opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the horror thriller Come Play written and directed by Jacob Chase (based on his short story of the same title) and starring Azhy Robertson, Gillian Jacobs and John Gallagher Jr.. The film’s original music is composed by Roque Banos (Don’t Breathe, In the Heart of the Sea, Evil Dead, The Girl in the Spider’s Web, The Machinist, Sexy Beast). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score is in the works. Expanded ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1990 horror thriller Jacob’s Ladder directed by Adrian Lyne and starring Tim Robbins, Elizabeth Peña and Danny Aiello. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from the movie composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia, Ghost, Witness, Gorillas in the Mist). The 2-CD set, which is limited to 2,000 copies, features a remastered version of the original 1990 soundtrack album (released by Varese Sarabande) on the first disc, and the complete score, as well as unused cues on the second disc.
