‘Songbird’ Soundtrack Album Details

Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the pandemic thriller Songbird. The album features the film’s original music composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, His Dark Materials, Bad Boys for Life, The Crown, Home). Also included is the song Kingdom by Royale. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 11 and will be available to stream/download here. Songbird is co-written and directed by Adam Mason and stars KJ Apa, Sofia Carson, Craig Robinson, Paul Walter Hauser, Demi Moore, Bradley Whitford, Peter Stormare and Alexandra Daddario. The movie produced by Michael Bay is set in a world where the COVID-23 virus has mutated in its fourth year of lockdown and follows a fearless courier, who’s immune to the deadly pathogen, as he races desperately across the barren streets of Los Angeles in search of the only thing that can save his partner from imprisonment. Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Incredible Hulk, The Great GatsbyRomeo + Juliet, The Bone Collector, Love Actually) has been tapped to score the upcoming biographical drama The Most Reluctant Convert. The film is directed by Norman Stone (Shadowlands) and stars Max McLean, Nicholas Ralph, Eddie Ray Martin, Tom Glenister (as J.R.R. Tolkien), David Shields and Owen Barfield. The movie is based on the stage play of the same title and charts the spiritual journey of renowned writer C.S. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Wild Mountain Thyme. The album features the film’s original music composed by Amelia Warner (Mary ShelleyMum’s List). Also included is the original song I’ll Be Singing co-written by Warner & director John Patrick Shanley and performed by Sinéad O’Connor, as well as Emily Blunt’s and Jamie Dornan’s renditions of the folk song Wild Mountain Thyme. Major Tom Productions will release a soundtrack album for the New Zealand horror comedy DEAD. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom McLeod, Jimmy Urine (frontman of punk band Mindless Self Indulgence) & William Philipson, as well as additional music by Tom Pierard, Chantal Claret, director Hayden J. Weal & Alex Walker. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 10 and will be available to stream/download here. DEAD is co-written and directed by Weal and stars Thomas Sainsbury, the director himself, Jennifer Ward-Lealand, Tōmairangi Ihaia, Jess Sayer and Kayne Ngātakowhā Peters. Joyful Noise Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ original series Stillwater. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Kishi Bashi and Toby Chu (BaoUnforgettable, Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return, Covert Affairs). Also included is Bashi’s theme song Never Ending Dream, which has already been released as a digital single last month. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. Stillwater is developed by Rob Hoegee based on Jon J Muth’s Caldecott Honor Children’s book series and stars James Sie, Judah MackeyEva Binder and Tucker Chandler. Composer Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Deadpool, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alita: Battle Angel, DivergentBlack Mass) is set to reteam with director George Miller (Mad Max, Babe, Happy Feet) on the upcoming romantic fantasy drama Three Thousand Years of Longing. The film stars Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba. No plot details have been announced yet. Doug Mitchell (Dead Calm, Lorenzo’s Oil) is producing the project. The show is written by Nick Stevens (In Plain Sight) based on the true crime book Catching the Bullseye Killer by Steve Wilkins & Jonathan Hill and stars Luke Evans, Keith Allen, Owen Teale, Alexandria Riley, Caroline Berry, Oliver Ryan and David Fynn. The 3-part series directed by Marc Evans (Snow Cake, Hunky Dory) revolves around two unsolved double murders from the 1980s that cast a shadow over the work of the Dyfed Powys police force.
