BMG will release the first soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Easy. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, The Good Doctor, Atypical, Digging for Fire). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 13 and will be available to download on Amazon. Easy is created by Joe Swanberg and follows a group of diverse Chicagoans fumbling through the modern maze of love, sex, technology and culture. Among the cast members starring in the first season are Marc Maron, Elizabeth Reaser, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jake Johnson, Dave Franco, Hannibal Buress, Kiersey Clemons, Orlando Bloom and Malin Akerman.

Mac Quayle to Score FX’s ‘Pose’
Mac Quayle has been tapped to score the upcoming FX original series Pose. The show is created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk & Steven Canals and stars Dominique Jackson, Mj Rodriguez, Indya Moore, Angelica Ross, Hallie Sahar, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Billy Porter, Dyllon Burnside, Evan Peters, Kate Mara and James Van Der Beek. The drama is set in the 1980s and looks at the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York: the rise of the luxury Trump-era universe, the downtown social and literary scene & the ball culture world.
‘Paterno’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the HBO original movie Paterno. The album features the film’s original music composed by Evgueni & Sacha Galperine (The Family, Loveless, Nine Lives, The Whole Truth, The Past) who previously scored last year’s HBO movie The Wizard of Lies. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 27, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Paterno is directed by Barry Levinson and stars Al Pacino in the title role, alongside Riley Keough, Annie Parisse, Kathy Baker and Greg Grunberg. The drama tells the story of Joe Paterno, who, after becoming the winningest coach in college football history, is embroiled in Penn State’s Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal.
Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans Tapped as New Composers of AMC’s ‘Fear the Walking Dead’
Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, The Gift, Enemy, Martha Marcy May Marlene) have taken over scoring duties on the AMC original series Fear the Walking Dead. The composers are scoring the fourth season of the show created by Robert Kirkman & Dave Erickson and starring Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Rubén Blades, Colman Domingo and Danay García. Andrew Chambliss & Ian Goldman (Once Upon a Time) have joined the series this season as the new showrunners.
The Newton Brothers to Score Netflix’s ‘The Haunting of Hill House’
The Newton Brothers are reuniting with Mike Flanagan on the upcoming Netflix original series The Haunting of Hill House. The show is a modern re-imagining of Shirley Jackson’s classic 1959 novel and stars Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, Henry Thomas, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Siegel, Timothy Hutton, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Lulu Wilson, Victoria Pedretti, Paxton Singleton, Julian Hilliard, Violet McGraw and Mckenna Grace. Flanagan is writing and directing the 10-parter and is also executive producing the Paramount Television and Amblin Television production with his producing partner Trevor Macy (The Raven, The Bye Bye Man), as well as Darryl Frank & Justin Falvey (The Americans, Falling Skies).

Premiering tonight is the Starz limited series Howards End developed by Kenneth Lonergan and starring Hayley Atwell, Matthew Macfadyen, Julia Ormond, Philippa Coulthard, Joseph Quinn, Rosalind Eleazar, Tracey Ullman and Alex Lawther. The 4-parter’s original music is composed by Nico Muhly (The Reader, Kill Your Darlings, Margaret, Joshua). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also premiering tonight is the new BBC America original series Killing Eve created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and starring Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, Fiona Shaw, David Haig, Kim Bodnia, Darren Boyd, Sean Delaney, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Owen McDonnell. David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Analyze That, Haywire, Out of Sight) is composing the show’s original music. Jeff Danna to Score DreamWorks Animation’s ‘3 Below’
Jeff Danna (The Good Dinosaur, The Boondock Saints, Storks, Tyrant, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus) has been tapped to score the upcoming Netflix and DreamWorks Animation Television series 3 Below. The show is created by Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth, Pacific Rim) and follows two royal teen aliens who crash land on Arcadia and struggle to blend in as they evade intergalactic bounty hunters. The project marks the second series in del Toro’s Tales of Arcadia trilogy following Netflix’s Trollhunters, which is scored by Tim Davies and features themes by Alexandre Desplat. Soundtrack Album for Sky Atlantic’s ‘Save Me’ to Be Released
SATV will release a soundtrack album for the Sky Atlantic series Save Me. The album features the original music from the show’s first season composed by Academy Award nominee Dustin O’Halloran (Lion, Transparent, Like Crazy) and Bryan Senti (Experimenter, Lowriders). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 18, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Save Me is created by Lennie James, directed by Nick Murphy and stars James himself, alongside Suranne Jones, Stephen Graham, Jason Flemyng, Susan Lynch, Kerry Godliman, Nadine Marshall and Barry Ward. The drama is set on a southeast London housing estate and follows a man who is falsely accused of a terrible crime an determines to clear his name and find the real perpetrator.

Natalie Holt has been hired to score the upcoming BBC drama Press. The show is created by Mike Bartlett (Doctor Foster, King Charles III) and stars Charlotte Riley, Ben Chaplin, Priyanga Burford, Paapa Essiedu, Shane Zaza, Ellie Kendrick, Al Weaver, Brendan Cowell and David Suchet. The series centers on the news editor of a broadsheet and the editor of a tabloid newspaper, The Post and follows their lives as they attempt to balance work and play, ambition and integrity, amid the pressure of the 24-hour global news cycle and an industry in turmoil.
