Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, The LEGO Movie, 21/22 Jump Street, The Royal Tenenbaums) is the composer of the new Netflix original series Disenchantment. The show is created by Matt Groening (The Simpsons, Futurama) and features the voices of Abbi Jacobson, Nat Faxon, Eric Andre, John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding and Lucy Montgomery. The animated comedy follows the misadventures of a hard-drinking princess, her feisty elf companion and her personal demon.

Weekly TV Music Roundup (July 22, 2018)
Premiering on Wednesday, July 25, is the Hulu original series Castle Rock developed by Sam Shaw & Dustin Thomason and starring André Holland, Melanie Lynskey, Sissy Spacek, Bill Skarsgård, Jane Levy and Scott Glenn. Thomas Newman (The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty Finding Nemo) has composed the show’s main titles theme, as well as the first two episodes and Chris Westlake (Before We Go, Small Town Crime) has scored the other eight episodes of the first season. WaterTower Music has released Newman’s main theme and end titles music this past Friday. Check out our previous article for more information.
Also premiering in the U.S. on Wednesday is the Canadian legal drama Burden of Truth created by Brad Simpson and starring Kristin Kreuk, Peter Mooney, Star Slade, Nicola Correia-Damude and David Lawrence Brown. The show’s original music is composed by Ian LeFeuvre (The Detail, Carter) and Benjamin Pinkerton (Lost Girl, Dark Matter). Jody Colero serves as the project’s score producer and Shawn Pierce (The Bridge, Motive) has provided additional score to a few episodes. The series, which follows a big city lawyer who returns to her hometown to take the case of a group of girls suffering from a mysterious illness, aired earlier this year in Canada on CBC and is premiering stateside on The CW.
Keegan DeWitt to Score Facebook Watch’s ‘Sorry for Your Loss’
Keegan DeWitt is composing the original score for the upcoming Facebook Watch original series Sorry for Your Loss. The show is created by Kit Steinkellner and stars Elizabeth Olsen, Kelly Marie Tran, Janet McTeer, Jovan Adepo and Mamoudou Athie. The comedy revolves around a young widow as she deals with the grief of losing her husband while reconnecting with relationships of her past. Steinkellner is also executive producing the Big Beach TV production with Robin Schwartz & Marc Turtletaub (Vida), Peter Saraf (Little Miss Sunshine, Safety Not Guaranteed), Cynthia Pett, Brad Petrigala, Jon Liebman (Resurrection), as well as James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now, Smashed) who also directed the first episode.
Thomas Newman’s Main Theme & End Titles Music from Hulu’s ‘Castle Rock’ Released

Nicholas Britell’s ‘Succession’ Main Titles Theme Released
Milan Records has the main titles theme of the HBO original series Succession. The track is written and performed by Academy Award nominee Nicholas Britell (Moonlight, Battle of the Sexes, The Big Short, Free State of Jones). The theme is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. Also listen to the track after the jump. Succession is created by Jesse Armstrong and stars Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen, Hiam Abbas, Alan Ruck, Rob Yang, Parker Sawvers and Peter Friedman.
‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ Season 3 Soundtrack Album Details
WaterTower Music will release a new soundtrack album for the CW musical comedy drama Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. The album features the original songs from the show’s third season written by Rachel Bloom, Adam Schlesinger and Jack Dolgen and performed by cast members including Bloom herself, Donna Lynne Champlin, Vincent Rodriguez III, Scott Michael Foster, Gabrielle Ruiz, Pete Gardner, Vella Lovell, Michael McMillian, David Hull and guest stars Bayne Gibby, Eddie Pepitone, Amy Hill, Paul Welsh & Michael Hyatt. Also included are previously unreleased tracks, including three demo versions, the cut song Settle for Her performed by Foster and writer Ilana Peña’s “earnest version” of The Moment Is Me. Jeff Cardoni to Score Netflix’s ‘Huge in France’
Jeff Cardoni has been tapped to score the upcoming Netflix original series Huge in France. The show is created by French comedy star Gad Elmaleh, Jarrad Paul & Andy Mogel (The D-Train, Yes Man, Allen Gregory) and follows Elmaleh as he moves to LA to reconnect with his son and must learn to live without the celebrity perks he’s accustomed to in France. Elmaleh, Paul & Mogel are also producing the project. Cardoni has previously scored the Paul- & Mogel-created Fox comedy The Grinder.
Soundtrack Album for YouTube’s ‘Best Shot’ Released
WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album for the YouTube original docu-series Best Shot. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Grammy Award nominee Roahn Hylton and Jacob Yoffee (The Valley, Finding Carter, Pawn). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Best Shot is directed by Michael John Warren and follows NCAA champion Jay Williams as he mentor a high school team in hopes of clenching its first state championship in over a decade. LeBron James and Maverick Carter are producing the project.
NBC’s ‘Manifest’ to Feature Music by Danny Lux
Danny Lux is scoring the upcoming NBC drama Manifest. The show is created by Jeff Rake (The Mysteries of Laura) and stars Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J. R. Ramirez, Parveen Kaur and Luna Blaise. The series centers on a group of people on a plane who survive a turbulent flight only to discover that the world has progressed five years during the period they were in the air. Rake is also executive producing the Warner Bros. Television and Compari Entertainment production with Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump), Jack Rapke (Cast Away, Flight) and David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada, Marley & Me) who also directed the pilot episode.
Christopher Lennertz to Score Amazon’s ‘The Boys’
Christopher Lennertz has signed on to score the upcoming Amazon original series The Boys. The superhero drama is developed by Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg based on the comic series created by Darick Robertson (Happy) and Garth Ennis (Preacher) and stars Jack Quaid, Karl Urban, Laz Alonso, Antony Starr, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford, Jessie T. Usher, Nathan Mitchell and Erin Moriarity. The show revolves around a superpowered CIA squad who closely monitor the superhero community as their celebrity status has corrupted them and led them to engage in reckless behavior compromising the world.
