Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix/Unvision series El Chapo. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Andrés Sánchez Maher, Gus Reyes (Falco) and Eduardo Aram (Cocaine Godmother). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. El Chapo is created by Silvana Aguirre Zegarra & Carlos Contreras and stars Marco de la O, Humberto Busto, Juan Carlos Olivas, Alejandro Aguilar, Rolf Petersen and Hernan Romo. The drama chronicles the true story of the rise, capture and escape of notorious Mexican drug lord Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.

Daniel Hart (Pete’s Dragon, A Ghost Story, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints) is scoring the upcoming Amazon original series Forever. The show is created by Alan Yang (Master of None, Parks and Recreation) & Matt Hubbard and stars Maya Rudolph, Fred Armisen, Catherine Keener, Kym Whitley and Noah Robbins. The comedy centers on a married couple who live a comfortable but very predictable life when suddenly they find themselves in a completely unexpected situation, raising questions about love and marriage.
The CW’s ‘All American’ to Feature Music by Blake Neely
Blake Neely has been tapped to score the upcoming CW drama All American. The show is created by April Blair (Reign) and stars Daniel Ezra, Taye Diggs, Samantha Logan, Bre-Z, Greta Onieogou, Monet Mazur, Michael Evans Behling, Cody Christian and Karimah Westbrook. The series tells the story of a high school football player from South Los Angeles who is recruited to play for a school in Beverly Hills. Blair is also executive producing the Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios production with Greg Berlanti & Sarah Schechter and Rob Hardy (Power).
Soundtrack Album for ‘Mission: Impossible’ 1988 TV Series Announced
La-La Land Records has announced a soundtrack album for the 1988 Mission: Impossible revival series created by Bruce Geller and starring Peter Graves, Thaao Penghlis, Tony Hamilton, Phil Morris, Terry Markwell, Jane Badler and Bob Johnson. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Lalo Schifrin (Dirty Harry, Rush Hour, Enter the Dragon) who wrote the classic Mission: Impossible theme and Ron Jones (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Family Guy). The 2-CD set is limited to 1988 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples.
Jim Dooley to Score Disney Channel’s ‘Kim Possible’ Live-Action Movie
Jim Dooley has been hired to score Disney Channel’s upcoming Kim Possible live-action movie adaptation. The film is directed by Adam B. Stein & Zach Lipovsky and stars Sadie Stanley in the title role, alongside Sean Giambrone, Alyson Hannigan, Todd Stashwick, Taylor Ortega, Connie Ray, Ciara Wilson, Erika Tham and Issac Ryan Brown. The comedy based on the animated hit TV show follows the title character, a typical high school girl who saves the world from evil villains with the help of her sidekick Ron Stoppable, his naked mole-rat Rufus, and computer genius Wade.

Tyler Bates has been tapped to score the upcoming USA original series The Purge. The show is created by James DeMonaco based on his hit movie franchise and stars Gabriel Chavarria, Lili Simmons, Lee Tergesen, Jessica Garza, Amanda Warren, Colin Woodell, Hannah Emily Anderson and William Baldwin. The drama revolves around a 12-hour period when all crime, including murder, is legal and follows several seemingly unrelated characters living in a small city.
Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein to Score NatGeo’s ‘Valley of the Boom’
Variety is reporting that Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein are composing the score for the upcoming NatGeo original series Valley of the Boom. The show is created by Matthew Carnahan (House of Lies, Dirt) and stars Bradley Whitford, Steve Zahn, Lamorne Morris, John Karna, Dakota Shapiro and Oliver Cooper. The drama, which is being described as hybrid scripted/docu-series, chronicles the 1990s tech boom and bust cycle in Silicon Valley. Carnahan is also executive producing the STXtv production with Arianna Huffington, Jason Goldberg and David Walpert.
Hulu’s ‘The First’ to Feature Original Score by Colin Stetson
Colin Stetson is scoring the upcoming Hulu original series The First. The show is created by Beau Willimon (House of Cards, The Ides of March) and stars Sean Penn, Natascha McElhone, LisaGay Hamilton, Oded Fehr, James Ransone and Hannah Ware. The drama follows the first human mission to Mars and explores the challenges of taking the first steps toward interplanetary colonization, from the perspectives of the the astronauts, their families and loved ones, as well as the ground team on Earth.
Syfy’s ‘Deadly Class’ to Feature Music by Nathan Matthew David
Nathan Matthew David has been hired to score the upcoming Syfy original series Deadly Class. The show is developed by Rick Remender & Miles Orion Feldsott based on Remender’s graphic novel of the same title and stars Benjamin Wadsworth, Benedict Wong, Lana Condor, Maria Gabriela de Faria, Luke Tennie, Liam James and Michel Duval. The drama follows a homeless teen who is recruited into a storied elite private school where the world’s top crime families send their next generations. Remender and Feldsott are also executive producing the Sony Pictures TV and Universal Cable production with Joe & Anthony Russo (Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Mike Laroca (The Drop) and Mick Betancourt.
