Kevin Kiner (CSI: Miami, Star Wars Rebels, Hell on Wheels, Wing Commander, Jane the Virgin) is the composer of the new Showtime original series City on a Hill. The show is created by Chuck MacLean based on an original idea by Ben Affleck and stars Kevin Bacon, Aldis Hodge, Jonathan Tucker, Mark O’Brien, Lauren E. Banks, Amanda Clayton, Jere Shea, Kevin Chapman and Jill Hennessy. The drama is set in Boston in the early 90s and centers on the relationship between an anti-corruption crusader assistant DA and a lauded FBI agent who is skirting the law at every turn.

Soundtrack Album for Channel 4’s ‘The Virtues’ to Be Released
Invada Records will release soundtrack album for the Channel 4 series The Virtues. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by PJ Harvey. Also included are tracks by Toydrum, Mono, Lisa Hannigan, Aphex Twin, Ted Barnes, Micah P. Hinson & others. The soundtrack will be available digitally tomorrow, June 14 and can be purchased by clicking here. The Virtues is written by Shane Meadows & Jack Thorne and stars Stephen Graham, Helen Behan, Niamh Algar and Frank Laverty. The 4-part drama centers on a moral yet troubled man who finds himself compelled to travel to Ireland to confront demons from a childhood spent in the care system, resulting in savage and brutal consequences.
Soundtrack Album for Ken Burns’ PBS Documentary ‘Country Music’ Announced
Legacy Recordings has announced a soundtrack album for the PBS documentary Country Music. The soundtrack represents artists featured in each of the series’ episodes, including the Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Randy Travis, the Judds & more. The soundtrack will be released in a deluxe 5-CD set on August 30, 2019 and as a 2-CD/vinyl and digital version on September 13. ‘Stranger Things’ Season 3 Soundtrack Details
The track list of the soundtrack album for Season 3 for the Netflix original series Stranger Things has been revealed. The album features 15 classic songs featured in the show’s third season performed by The Who, Madonna, Foreigner, The Pointer Sisters, Howard Jones, Huey Lewis & The News, John Mellencamp, Patsy Cline, among others. Also included is the series’ first original cast recording Never Ending Story. The soundtrack will be released on July 5 by Legacy Recordings and is now available for pre-order on Amazon (CD version) and here (digital version). Daniel Wohl Scoring Showtime’s ‘Shangri-La’
Daniel Wohl is currently composing the original score for the upcoming Showtime docu-series Shangri-La. The show is directed by Academy Award winner Morgan Neville (Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, 20 Feet for Stardom) (episodes 1 & 2) and Jeff Malmberg (Marwencol) (episodes 3 & 4) and focusses on creative conversation and the emotional side of music-making, using legendary music producer and Def Jam Records co-founder Rick Rubin’s iconic Malibu, CA studio as the backdrop.

Premiering on Tuesday, June 11, is the HBO documentary Ice on Fire directed by Leila Conners and produced and narrated by Leonard Di Caprio. The film’s original music is composed by Jeremy Soule (The Elder Scrolls series, Guild Wars, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic) & Jonah Johnson. The movie focuses on many never-before-seen solutions designed to slow down our escalating environmental crisis. ‘Hierro’ Soundtrack Album Released
Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the Movistar+ original Spanish crime drama Hierro. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Xavi Font (Gun City, The Apostle) & Elba Fernández. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Hierro is created by Pepe Coira, directed by Jorge Coira and stars Candela Peña and Darío Grandinetti. The 8-parter is set on remote island of El Hierro in the Canary Islands and follows a judge investigating a murder whose prime suspect is a shady local entrepreneur.
Keegan DeWitt Scoring Netflix’s ‘Trinkets’
Keegan DeWitt (Hearts Beat Loud, I’ll See You in My Dreams, The Hero, Gemini) is the composer of the new Netflix original series Trinkets. The show is developed by Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith (Legally Blonde, 10 Things I Hate About You), Amy Andelson & Emily Meyer (Step Up 3D) based on Smith’s YA novel of the same title and stars Brianna Hildebrand, Kiana Madeira, Quintessa Swindell. The drama follows a grieving teen who finds an unexpected connection with two classmates at her new high school after they all land in the same Shoplifters Anonymous group.
Marcelo Zarvos Scoring Showtime’s ‘The Loudest Voice’
Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, The Good Shepherd, Enough Said) is composing the original music for the upcoming Showtime limited series The Loudest Voice. The show is based on the bestselling book The Loudest Voice in the Room by Gabriel Sherman and stars Russell Crowe as Roger Ailes, Naomi Watts, Sienna Miller, Seth MacFarlane, Simon McBurney and Annabelle Wallis. The 7-part drama explores how Ailes became the Republican Party’s de facto leader, while touching on the sexual harassment accusations that brought his Fox News reign to an end.
