WaterTower Music has released a new soundtrack album for the Cartoon Network animated series Steven Universe. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s first season composed by Aivi & Surasshu (aka Aivi Tran & Steven “Surasshu” Velema). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. The album marks the first of five new albums featuring the score from all five seasons of the show, which will be released over the next couple of months. Cartoon Network & WaterTower Music have previously released two soundtracks featuring the songs from the show, as well as an album featuring the composers’ score from Steven Universe: The Movie.

Soundtrack Album for Apple TV+’s ‘Central Park’ Announced
Apple TV+ has announced a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original series Central Park. The album features the original songs from the show composed by the project’s principal songwriters Kate Anderson, Elyssa Samsel & Brent Knopf. Other songs included are Weirdos Make Great Superheroes (featured in episode 2) written by Sara Bareilles, I’m in a Perfect Relationship (episode 8) written by Meghan Trainor, New York Doesn’t Like Your Face (episode 10) written by Fiona Apple, as well as contributions by Cyndi Lauper, Alan Menken, Darren Criss and Anthony Hamilton. The songs from the first two episodes are now available to stream on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Songs for the following episodes will be released weekly with the full soundtrack album coming out on July 24, 2020. Central Park is created by Loren Bouchard, Josh Gad & Nora Smith and stars Gad, alongside Kristen Bell, Daveed Diggs, Tituss Burgess, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr. and Stanley Tucci.
‘Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Details
Back Lot Music will release a new soundtrack album for DreamWorks Animation’s Netflix series Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts. The album features the songs from the show’s second season performed by Karen Fukahara, Sydney Mikayla, John Lavelle, Dan Stevens, Mindy Sterling, Kay Bess and Chris Anthony Lansdowne. Also included are selections of the original score from Season 2 composed by Daniel Rojas. The Season 2 Mixtape will be released digitally tomorrow, May 29 and will be available to stream/download here. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring music from Season 1 earlier this year. Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts is created by Radford Sechrist and stars Fukahara & Mikayla, alongside Coy Stewart, Deon Cole and Dee Bradley Baker.
Leland to Compose Music for HBO Max’s ‘Homeschool Musical: Class of 2020’
HBO Max has announced today that singer/songwriter Leland (aka Brett McLaughlin) is composing original songs and the original score for the upcoming HBO Max scripted special Homeschool Musical: Class of 2020. The show is inspired by Laua Benanti’s #SunshineSongs social media campaign and will star a diverse group of student actors whose school productions have shut down due to the pandemic. The special will will feature original music performed from their homes and explores tried-and-true themes of classic teen movies through the totally unique lens of a world turned upside down by the global pandemic. Benanti is also executive producing the World of Wonder production with Randy Barbato & Fenton Bailey (Party Monster) and Tom Campbell (RuPaul’s Drag Race).
Soundtrack Album for National Geographic’s ‘Barkskins’ to Be Released
Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the National Geographic limited series Barkskins. The album features the show’s original music composed by Colin Stetson (Hereditary, Color Out of Space, The First, Outlaws and Angels). The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 5, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Barkskins is created by Elwood Reid based on Annie Proulx’s novel of the same title and stars David Thewlis, Marcia Gay Harden, Aneurin Barnard, James Bloor, David Wilmot, Christian Cooke, Thomas M. Wright, Lily Sullivan, Tallulah Haddon, Kaniehtiio (Tiio) Horn and Zahn McClarnon. The 8-parter follows a disparate group of outcasts and dreamers battling to escape their pasts.
Josh Gad’s ‘I Am With You’ from ‘At Home with Olaf’
Walt Disney Records has released the original song I Am With You from the final episode of Disney’s short digital series At Home with Olaf. The track is written by Academy Award winners Kristen Anderson-Lopez & Robert Lopez (Frozen, Coco) and performed by Josh Gad. The song is now available to stream as a digital single on Amazon. Also watch the full episode after the jump. The final episode of At Home with Olaf created by Hyrum Osmon follows Olaf writing a song in the form of a letter as a montage of clips from Disney movies (including Alice in Wonderland, The Princess and the Frog, Tarzan, Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph, Moana, Lilo & Stitch) is played.
‘The Machinery’ Soundtrack Album Released
Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the Viaplay series The Machinery. The album features the show’s original music composed by Lasse Enersen (The Unknown Soldier, Legend of the Ancient Sword, Cold Courage, Tom of Finland). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Machinery is directed by Richard Holm, written by Niclas Ekström & Kjersti Ugelstad and stars Kristoffer Joner, Julia Schacht, Emilia Roosmann, Hanna Alström, Anastasios Soulis, Emil Almén, Rune Temte and Bjørn Sundquist. The thriller follows an ordinary dad who wakes up on a ferry at the border of Strömstad and Sandefjord after a late night in possession of a bag full of cash, a gun and a robbery mask and has to prove his innocence.
Soundtrack Album for HBO Max’s ‘Love Life’ to Be Released
Lionsgate Records will release a soundtrack album for the HBO Max original series Love Life. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, Maniac, The Good Doctor) and Mike Tuccillo (Ramy, Shot in the Dark). Also included is Arthur Russell’s song This Is How We Walk on the Moon. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 27 and will be available to stream/download here. Love Life is created by Sam Boyd (In a Relationship) and stars Anna Kendrick, Zoë Chao, Sasha Compere, Peter Vack and Lesley Manville. The anthology comedy series executive produced by Paul Feig follows a different protagonist’s quest for love each season, with each half-hour episode telling the story of one of their relationships.

Universal Music has released a new soundtrack album for the Amazon original series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. The album features all original songs from the show’s third season written by Curtis Moore & Thomas Mizer, the cover versions of A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square and They Say It’s Wonderful performed by Shy Baldwin (played by Leroy McClain), as well as Sutton Foster’s rendition of Perfectly Marvelous & more. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring music from Season 3, as well as two albums featuring songs from the first two seasons. Alex Heffes & Anoushka Shankar Scoring BBC’s ‘A Suitable Boy’
Director Mira Nair has revealed on Twitter that Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Roots, 11.22.63, Touching the Void) and Anoushka Shankar are currently scoring the upcoming BBC series A Suitable Boy. The show is developed by Andrew Davies (Bridget Jones’ Diary, War & Peace, Les Misérables) based on Vikram Seth’s classic novel of the same title and stars Tabu, Tanya Maniktala and Ishaan Khatter. The 6-parter is directed by Mira Nair (Monsoon Wedding, Vanity Fair, The Namesake) tells the story of a spirited university student who is coming of age in North India in 1951 at the same time as the country is carving out its own identity as an independent nation.
