Sony Classical has released a new remix of the main title theme from the Netflix original series The Crown. The British electronic music act Faithless have created a remix of the theme written by Hans Zimmer (Inception, Gladiator, The Lion King, The Dark Knight) for the show’s first season. The track is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Also listen to the full remix below. The label has previously released five soundtrack albums featuring Zimmer’s theme and Rupert Gregson-Williams’, Lorne Balfe’s and Martin Phipps’ scores from the show’s first five seasons.

Premiering on Wednesday, November 30, is the Disney+ original series Willow developed by Jonathan Kasdan & Wendy Mericle based on the 1988 feature and starring Warwick Davis, Ruby Cruz, Ellie Bamber, Erin Kellyman, Tony Revolori, Dempsey Bryk, Amar Chadha-Patel and Joanne Whalley. The show’s original music is composed by James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, The Sixth Sense, King Kong, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) & Xander Rodzinski (Dead for a Dollar, Light & Magic). Premiering on Thursday, December 1, is the HBO Max original movie A Hollywood Christmas directed by Alex Ranarivelo and starring Jessika Van, Josh Swickard, Missi Pyle and Anissa Borrego. Jamie Christopherson (A California Christmas, Running Wild, Perfect Harmony, Bennett’s War, American Wrestler: The Wizard, The Ride) has composed the film’s original music. The romantic comedy, which follows a young filmmaker in Hollywood who has made a name for herself directing Christmas movies and her relationship with a network executive, will be available to stream exclusively on HBO Max.
‘Mickey Saves Christmas’ Soundtrack EP Released
Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack EP for Disney’s stop-motion holiday special Mickey Saves Christmas. The 5-track EP features the original songs from the special written by Laura Schein and Ben Zeadman (Honor Society) and a cover of the Christmas carol Up on the Housetop. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Listen to all five songs below. Mickey Saves Christmas is directed by David H. Brooks and stars real-life couple Brock Powell and Camryn Grimes. The Disney Branded Television production follows Mickey and his friends must travel to the North Pole to save Christmas when Pluto’s attempts to play fetch accidentally cause Santa to crash his sleigh and lose all the presents.

Netflix Music has released the first soundtrack album for the streamer’s South African original series Blood & Water. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s third season composed by Mr Kamera. Also included is the drama’s theme song by Mr Kamera & Frya (previously released as a digital single in 2020). ‘Stingray’ Soundtrack Album Released
Silva Screen Records has announced the world premiere commercial soundtrack release for the 1964 British sci-fi series Stingray created by Gerry & Sylvia Anderson and starring Ray Barrett, Robert Easton, Don Mason, David Graham and Lois Maxwell. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Barry Gray (UFO, Thunderbirds, Space: 1999, Supercar, Fireball XL55, The Secret Service, Captain Scarlet). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services. A CD version is also being released overseas and is available to order as an import on Amazon.
Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘First Love’ Released
Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the streamer’s Japanese original series First Love. The album features the show’s original music composed by Taisei Iwasaki (Belle, Kekkai Sensen, Love Strikes!). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. First Love is directed by Yuri Kanchiku and stars Hikari Mitsushima, Takeru Satoh, Rikako Yagi, Taisei Kido, Kaho, Minami, Akiyoshi Nakao, Towa Araki and Aoi Yamada. The romantic drama is inspired by two songs by Hikaru Utada and follows a couple retracing their memories of their first love over the course of more than 20 years and spanning three decades: the late 1990s, the 2000s, and the present.
Showtime’s ‘George & Tammy’ to Feature Original Score and Opening Theme by David Mansfield
David Mansfield (Transamerica, Heaven’s Gate, The Apostle, Year of the Dragon) has recently scored the new Showtime limited series George & Tammy. He also contributed the opening titles theme for the show created by Abe Sylvia (The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Filthy Rich) and starring Jessica Chastain, Michael Shannon, Steve Zahn, Kelly McCormack, Walton Goggins, Pat Healy, David Wilson Barnes and Katy Mixon. The 6-part drama directed by John Hillcoat (The Road, Lawless) is based on the book The Three of Us: Growing Up with Tammy and George by Georgette Jones and chronicles one of music’s most legendary power couples, Tammy Wynette and George Jones.
‘Doctor Who’ Series 13 Specials Soundtracks Announced
Silva Screen Records has announced the details of the soundtrack albums for this year’ Doctor Who specials, Eve of the Daleks, Legend of the Sea Devils and The Power of the Doctor. The albums feature the original music from the Series 13 special episodes composed by Segun Akinola (The Last Tree, Stephen, 9/11: Inside the President’s War Room). The Eve of the Daleks album will be released digitally on December 2 (click here to stream/download), followed by the Legend of the Sea Devils soundtrack on December 9 (visit Amazon to stream/download) and the The Power of the Doctor album on December 16 (click here to stream/download). A 3-CD set featuring all three albums will be coming out on January 13, 2023. The label has previously released four soundtracks featuring Akinola’s music from Series 11, Series 12 & Series 13 and last year’s New Year’s special Revolution of the Daleks.
‘The English’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the Amazon/BBC limited series The English. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Federico Jusid (Watership Down, The Secret in Their Eyes, Life Itself, Loving Pablo Misconduct, The Head). Also included is Dvořák’s String Quartet No. 12, as well as folk songs by The Wailin’ Jennys, Melanie, Crooked Still, Ora Cogan and Tom McRae. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 25 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The English is written and directed by Hugo Blick and stars Emily Blunt, Chaske Spencer, Stephen Rea, Rafe Spall, Valerie Pachner, Tom Hughes, Toby Jones and Ciarán Hinds.
