Sam Ewing (Last Seen Alive, The Shed, Beautiful Disaster, Victor Crawley) is the composer of the new AMC limited series The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. Bear McCreary (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Outlander, 10 Cloverfield Lane) is producing Ewing’s score for the 6-part show, which stars Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira who reprise their roles of “Rick Grimes” and “Michonne” from the original The Walking Dead series. They are joined by Pollyanna McIntosh, Terry O’Quinn, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Matthew August Jeffers, Craig Tate and Andrew Bachelor.

‘The Lions of Sicily’ Soundtrack Album Released
Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album for the Italian Disney+ original series The Lions of Sicily (I Leoni di Sicilia). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Maurizio Filardo (The Place, The First Day of My Life, All You Need Is Crime, Supereroi). Also included are several tracks by Marianne Mirage feat. Marquis. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. The Lions of Sicily directed by Paolo Genovese is based on Stefania Auci’s bestseller The Florios of Sicily and stars Michele Riondino, Miriam Leone, Donatella Finocchiaro, Eduardo Scarpetta, Vinicio Marchioni, Paolo Briguglia, Ester Pantano and Adele Cammarata.
Gary Yershon Scoring Mike Leigh’s ‘Hard Truths’
Composer Gary Yershon (Brighton, Trial and Retribution, 23 Walks) is reteaming with director Mike Leigh on the upcoming British drama Hard Truths. The film is written and directed by Leigh (Secrets & Lies, Vera Drake, Naked) and stars Marianne Jean-Baptiste. No plot details have been announced yet, but the movie is being described as a “tough but compassionate intimate study of family life.” Georgina Lowe is producing the Thin Man Films and The Mediapro production. Yershon has previously collaborated with Leigh on the director’s previous four features, Happy-Go-Lucky, Another Year, Mr. Turner (which earned him his first Academy Award nomination) and Peterloo.
Soundtrack Album for ViX’s ‘Montecristo’ Series Released
Jeansy Auz (Caronte, La Fuga, 4 Estrellas) has released a soundtrack album for the ViX original series Montecristo. The album features selections of the composer’s original music from the show and is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and most other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. Montecristo is written by Lidia Fraga & Jacobo Díaz based on Alexandre Dumas’ classic The Count of Monte Cristo and stars William Levy, Juan Fernández, Esmeralda Pimentel, Itziar Atienza, Silvia Abascal, Guiomar Puerta and Franky Martin. The 6-part drama directed by Alberto Ruiz-Rojo revolves around Alejandro Montecristo, an enigmatic figure who bursts into the public eye and raises concerns amongst the elites because the origin of his fortune and his past are unknown.
Jeff Morrow Scoring Sarah Gibson’s Peacock Documentary ‘Stormy’
Jeff Morrow (Science Fair, A Christmas Story Christmas, The Snoopy Show, Ibiza, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure) has provided the original score for the upcoming Peacock original documentary Stormy. The film is directed by Sarah Gibson (Orgasm Inc: The Story of OneTast) and centers on the life and times of Stormy Daniels, as she shares her story and account of events that have become part of American history. The movie follows Stormy as she navigates being a mother, an artist, and an advocate working hard to reinvent herself, while still grappling with the bombshell that went off in her life five years earlier.
Caroline Shaw Scoring Ken Burns’ ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ Documentary
Pulitzer Prize- & Grammy Award winning composer Caroline Shaw (Fleishman Is in Trouble, The Sky Is Everywhere, Madeline Madeline) has recorded original music for the upcoming documentary Leonardo da Vinci. The 2-part, four hour film is directed by Ken Burns (Brooklyn Bridge, The Statue of Liberty, The Vietnam War), Sarah Burns (Muhammad Ali) & David McMahon (The Central Park Five) and explores the life and work of the titular 15th century polymath. Shaw’s score is performed by Attacca Quartet, Sō Percussion and Roomful of Teeth. Italian actor Adriano Giannini is voicing Leonardo and Keith David serves as the narrator of the movie, which brings da Vinci’s achievements to life through his personal notebooks, primary and secondary accounts of his life, and on-camera interviews with modern scholars, engineers, artists, inventors, and admirers.
‘Wild Scandinavia’ Soundtrack Album Released
Octiive has released a soundtrack album for the BBC wildlife documentary series Wild Scandinavia. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by BΩç(Nova, Beeba Boys, Thin Ice). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Wild Scandinavia is narrated by Rebecca Ferguson who guides viewers through scenery in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark and tells the stories of lynx, orca, puffins, and wolves, alongside the experiences of the extraordinary people living in and devoted to exploring this icy wilderness.

Premiering tonight is the CBS drama Tracker developed by Ben Winters based on Jeffery Deaver’s bestselling novel The Never Game and starring Justin Hartley, Fiona Rene, Abby McEnany, Robin Weigert and Eric Graise. The show’s original music is composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, Watchmen, John Wick, 300, X, Primal, Killer Joe, The Punisher). Premiering tomorrow, February 12, is the National Geographic documentary The Space Race directed by Diego Hurtado de Mendoza & Lisa Cortés about the experiences of the first Black astronauts. Tom Howe Scoring Paramount+’s ‘Knuckles’ Series
Tom Howe (Ted Lasso, Early Man, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Daisy Jones & the Six, Shrinking) has composed the original score for the upcoming Paramount+ original event series Knuckles. The show is created for television by John Whittington (The Lego Batman Movie, DC League of Super-Pets) & Toby Ascher (Spenser Confidential) based on characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog features and video game series and stars Idris Elba (as the voice of the title character), Adam Pally (as Wade Whipple), Stockard Channing, Edi Patterson, Scott Mescudi, Julian Barratt, Ellie Taylor, Cary Elwes, Rory McCann, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel. The 6-parter is set between the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 & 3 (scored by Tom Holkenborg) and follows Knuckles on a journey of self-discovery as he agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior.
Alewya’s Main Title Song ‘Umi’ from National Geographic’s ‘Queens’ Released
Hollywood Records has released the main title song from the National Geographic documentary series Queens. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music platforms is Umi (Woman) co-written (with Dean James Barratt) and performed by Alewya.
