Lakeshore Records has released the main title theme from the NBC comedy Lopez vs. Lopez. An extended version version of the track written by the show’s composer Raney Shockne (Queen of the South, Kevin Can Wait, Anger Management, The To Do List, Debris, The Wedding Year) is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. First Tracks from Oliver Coates’ ‘Mary & George’ Score Released
Invada Records has released the first two tracks from the soundtrack for the Sky/Starz original limited series Mary & George. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services are Timp X & Intimate Treachery written by the show’s composer Oliver Coates (Aftersun, Occupied City, The Stranger, Foe, Significant Other). Also listen to both tracks after the jump. A full soundtrack album will be coming out next month. Mary & George is created by D.C. Blake Neely Scoring Max’s ‘The Girls on the Bus’
Blake Neely (The Pacific, The Flight Attendant, The Flash, Arrow, Greyhound, You, Everwood, Good Night Oppy) has been tapped to score the upcoming Max original series The Girls on the Bus. The show is created by Amy Chozick & Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries, Roswell, New Mexico) and stars Melissa Benoist, Carla Gugino, Natasha Behnam, Brandon Scott, Christina Elmore, Griffin Dunne, Scott Foley and Mark Consuelos. The drama follows a journalist who romanticizes a bygone era of campaign reporting and scraps her whole life for a shot at covering a presidential candidate for a paper of record.
Marco Beltrami & Miles Hankins Scoring Peacock’s ‘Apples Never Fall’
Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Logan, A Quiet Place, Scream, World War Z, Ford v. Ferrari) & Miles Hankins (The Night Before, Being Serena, Long Shot, Len & Company, No Exit) have teamed up to score the upcoming Peacock limited series Apples Never Fall. The show is developed by Melanie Marnich (A Murder at the End of the World) based on the bestselling novel of the same title by Liane Moriarty and stars Annette Bening, Sam Neill, Jake Lacy, Alison Brie, Essie Randles, Conor Merrigan-Turner, Georgia Flood, Dylan Thuraisingham and Jeanine Serralles. The 7-part drama follows two former tennis coaches who have sold their successful tennis academy and are ready to start spending more time with their four adult children, when a wounded young woman knocks on their door, bringing the excitement they’ve been missing.
Alexandre Desplat & Alex Heffes Scoring HBO’s ‘The Regime’
Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The King’s Speech, The Shape of Water, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Godzilla) & Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Touching the Void, Queen of Katwe, State of Play) have composed the original music for the new HBO limited series The Regime. The show is created by Will Tracy (Succession, The Menu) and stars Kate Winslet, Matthias Schoenaerts, Andrea Riseborough, Guillaume Gallienne, Martha Plimpton and Hugh Grant. The 6-part political satire directed by Stephen Frears (Dangerous Liaisons, High Fidelity) & Jessica Hobbs (The Split) follows an authoritarian chancellor who has grown increasingly paranoid and unstable when she turns to a volatile soldier as an unlikely confidant.
‘Vigil’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Released
Addict London has released a new soundtrack album for the BBC drama Vigil. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Afterhere (aka Berenice Scott & Glenn Gregory) (Liar, The Suspect, Under the Wire). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also check out the composers’ end titles track below. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring Scott’s & Gregory’s score from Season 1 back in 2021. Vigil is created by Tom Edge and stars Suranne Jones, Rose Leslie, Gary Lewis, Dougray Scott, Romola Garai, Anders Hayward, Chris Jenks, Shannon Hayes and Orla Russell.
‘Vestidas de Azul’ Soundtrack Albums Released
Atresmúsica has released two soundtrack albums for the Spanish TV series Vestidas de Azul. The albums feature the show’s original music composed by Álex de Lucas & Raúl Santos (Cardo). The show’s original score is composed by Sam Ewing (Last Seen Alive, The Shed, Beautiful Disaster/Wedding, Victor Crawley) who previously co-scored the final seasons of the original The Walking Dead series and produced by Bear McCreary. Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Watchmen, Soul), Leopold Ross (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, The Book of Eli) & Nick Chuba (Dr. Death, The Girl from Plainville) have composed the show’s original music. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score this past Friday. Back Lot Music has released the theme song from DreamWorks Animation’s new TV series Megamind Rules! The extended version of the song written and produced by Alex Seaver (aka Mako) and performed by Adam Lambert and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Soul, Watchmen, Gone Girl, Mank), Leopold Ross (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Death Note, The Book of Eli) & Nick Chuba (The Girl from Plainville, Dr. Death). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 23 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services.
