Leo Birenberg & Zach Robinson (Cobra Kai, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Florida Man, Die Hart) have been tapped to score the upcoming Peacock original series Twisted Metal. The show is written by Michael Jonathan Smith based on an original take by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick (Deadpool, Zombieland) and stars Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Will Arnett and Joe Seanoa. The action comedy is based on the classic PlayStation game series of the same title about a motor-mouthed outsider who is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

‘Praise This’ Score Album to Be Released
Back Lot Music will release a second soundtrack album for the musical comedy Praise This. The album features the film’s original score composed by Jermaine Stegall (Coming 2 America, Senior Year, Our Star Wars Stories, Proximity, Jamesy Boy). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 21 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Columbia Records has previously released a soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie earlier this month. Jeff Russo (Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery & Picard, The Night Of, Legion, The Umbrella Academy) is the composer of the new Peacock original series Mrs. Davis. The show is created by Tara Hernandez & Damon Lindelof (Watchmen, Lost) and stars Betty Gilpin, Jake McDorman, Andy McQueen, Ben Chaplin, David Arquette, Margo Martindale, Elizabeth Marvel, Chris Diamantopoulos, Katja Herbers, Ashley Romans, Mathilde Ollivier and Tom Wlaschiha. The sci-fi drama revolves around a a nun who goes to battle against an all-powerful Artificial Intelligence known as “Mrs. Davis.”
Raffertie Scoring Peacock’s ‘The Continental’
Raffertie (aka Benjamin Stefanski) (Alex Rider, White Dragon, Bull, One Way, Zone 414) has been tapped to score the upcoming Peacock event series The Continental. The show is developed by Greg Coolidge (Ride Along, The Troop), Kirk Ward & Shawn Simmons (Wayne) based on characters from the John Wick feature films and stars Colin Woodell, Mel Gibson, Mishel Prada, Ben Robson, Nhung Kate, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Jessica Allain, Jeremy Bobb, Ayomide Adegun and Peter Greene. The 3-parter explores the origin story and inner workings of the exclusive Continental Hotel, a centerpiece of the John Wick Universe, through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott, as he’s dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970’s New York City to face a past he thought he had left behind.

The details of the second soundtrack album for DreamWorks Animation’s TV series Abominable and the Invisible City have been revealed. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by George Shaw (Escape the Night, Little Sorcerer). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 31 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released an album featuring the composer’s music from Season 1 last year. Abominable and the Invisible City is developed by Katherine Nolfi based on DreamWorks Animation’s 2019 feature Abominable and stars Chloe Bennet, Tenzing Trainor, Michelle Wong, Alan Cumming, Ethan Loh, Darin De Paul and Karen Huie.
Mark Isham Scoring Chris Robinson’s ‘Shooting Stars’
Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, Miracle, Once Upon a Time, Warrior, The Accountant, Judas and the Black Messiah) has composed the original score for the upcoming biographical drama Shooting Stars. The film is directed by Chris Robinson (Beats) and stars Marquis “Mookie” Cook, Caleb McLaughlin, Avery S. Wills, Khalil Everage, Sterling “Scoot” Henderson and Dermot Mulroney. The movie is based on the book by LeBron James and Pulitzer Prize winner Buzz Bissinger (Friday Night Lights) and tells the origin story of a basketball superhero, revealing how LeBron James and his childhood friends become the #1 high school team in the country, launching James’s career as a four-time NBA Champion, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.
Soundtrack Album for Peacock’s ‘The Resort’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Peacock original series The Resort. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Andrew Carroll (Lodge 49, The Grand Son). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 24 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The Resort is created by Andy Siara and stars William Jackson Harper, Cristin Milioti, Skyler Gisondo, Nina Bloomgarden, Luis Gerardo Méndez, Gabriela Cartol and Nick Offerman. The comedic thriller follows a couple on an anniversary trip who find themselves embroiled in one of the Yucatan’s most bizarre unsolved mysteries that took place fifteen years prior.
