Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC/Netflix series Dracula. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by David Arnold (Casino Royale, Independence Day, Stargate, Tomorrow Never Dies) & Michael Price (Unforgotten, A Fantastic Fear of Everything, Another Me) who previously co-scored all episodes of BBC’s Sherlock. Among the musicians featured on the composers’ score are cello soloists Tim Gill (London Sinfonietta Principal), Caroline Dale (Truly, Madly, Deeply, Hilary and Jackie) and electric cello from Peter Gregson, as well as classical soprano Grace Davidson and jazz singer Sumudu Jayatilak. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 10, 2020 (click here to order) and physically on January 31. The (spoiler-heavy) track list will be revealed after the show premieres in early January.

Pacific Electric’s Song ‘Houston, We Have a Problem’ from Netflix Series ‘Soundtrack’ Released
Hollywood Records has released the first song from the new Netflix original series Soundtrack. Available now is the original song Houston, We Have a Problem written by Sam Hollander and Josh Edmondson and performed by Pacific Electric. Visit Amazon to stream/download the track. More songs are expected to be released soon. Soundtrack is created by Joshua Safran and stars Paul James, Callie Hernandez, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Jahmil French, Jenna Dewan, Campbell Scott, Madeleine Stowe, Megan Ferguson and Evan Whitten. The show scored by Andrew McMahon, Zac Clark, James Levine and Morgan Kibby centers on two struggling artists experiencing life at full volume in Los Angeles.

Premiering on Thursday, December 19, is the mini-series A Christmas Carol written by Steven Knight based on Charles Dickens’ story and starring Guy Pearce, Andy Serkis, Stephen Graham, Charlotte Riley, Joe Alwyn, Vinette Robinson, Jason Flemyng and Kayvan Novak. Dustin O’Halloran & Volker Bertelmann (aka Hauschka) (Lion, The Art of Racing in the Rain) have composed the original music for the 3-parter. Premiering on Friday, December 20, is the Disney+ original movie Togo directed by Ericson Core and starring Willem Dafoe, Thorbjorn Harr and Michael Gaston. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, A River Runs Through It, The Accountant, Miracle). DreamWorks has released the original song Chasing Legacy from the Netflix animated series Fast & Furious: Spy Racers. The track is written by Alex Geringas & William J. Fuller, produced by Timbaland, Angel Lopez & Federico Vindver and performed by Shaylin Becton and Tha Vil. The song is now available to stream/download on Amazon. Lakeshore Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Lost in Space. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Christopher Lennertz (Horrible Bosses, Sausage Party, The Boys, Ride Along, Agent Carter, Supernatural). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 20 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from the first season. Lost in Space is developed by Matt Sazama & Burk Sharpless based on the classic 1960s sci-fi series and stars Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Ignacio Serricchio, Taylor Russell, Maxwell Jenkins, Parker Posey and Mina Sundwall.
‘6 Underground’ Soundtrack Details
Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Netflix original movie 6 Underground. The album features the film’s original music composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, His Dark Materials, The Crown, Terminator Genisys). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 13 and will be available to stream/download here. 6 Underground is directed by Michael Bay and stars Ryan Reynolds, Mélanie Laurent, Corey Hawkins, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Adria Arjona, Ben Hardy and Dave Franco. The movie follows a tech billionaire who fakes his death and recruits a team of international operatives for a mission to take down a brutal dictator.

Varèse Sarabande Records has announced a soundtrack album for the CBC & Netflix original series Anne with an “E”. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Amin Bhatia (X Company, Detention) and Ari Posner (Flashpoint, Johnny Test, Northern Rescue). Also included is the theme song Ahead by a Century by The Tragically Hip. ‘Mindhunter’ Season 2 Soundtrack Released
BMG has released a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Mindhunter. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Jason Hill. The soundtrack is now available to stream and download on Amazon Music, where you can also check out audio samples. Milan Records has previously released released a soundtrack featuring Hill’s score from Season 1. Mindhunter is created by Joe Penhall, executive produced by David Fincher and stars Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, Anna Torv and Stacey Roca. The series is set in the late 1970s and centers on two FBI agents expand criminal science by delving into the psychology of murder and getting uneasily close to all-too-real monsters.
Paul McCartney to Write Original Songs for Timothy Reckart’s ‘High in the Clouds’
Netflix announced today that singer/songwriter Paul McCartney will be writing original songs for the animated movie High in the Clouds based on the popular children’s adventure novel of the same title by McCartney and Geoff Dunbar & Philip Ardagh. Timothy Reckart (The Star, Head Over Heels) is directing the film, which follows an imaginative teenage squirrel who finds himself pulled into a ramshackle gang of teenage rebels who live high in the clouds. Jon Croker (Paddington, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald) is writing the screenplay.
