The full details of the soundtrack album for the BBC/Netflix series Dracula have been revealed. The album features the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award winners David Arnold (Casino Royale, Independence Day, Stargate) & Michael Price (Sherlock, Unforgotten, A Fantastic Fear of Everything, Another Me). Broken Social Scene’s Brendan Canning & Ohad Benchetrit are the composers of the new Netflix original series Spinning Out. The show is created by Samantha Stratton and stars Kaya Scodelario, Evan Roderick, January Jones, Will Kemp, Willow Shields, Amanda Zhou, Svetlana Efremova, Mitchell Edwards and Jonathan Van Ness. The drama follows a figure skating Olympic hopeful who struggles to balance love, family and fragile mental health as her dream of winning takes a dizzying hold.
‘Klaus’ Soundtrack Released
Epic Records has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix animated film Klaus. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Alfonso Aguilar (Perdida, You Shall Not Sleep). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released the Zara Larsson-performed original song Invisible, which is also included on the full soundtrack album. Klaus is directed by Sergio Pablos and features the voices of Jason Schwartzman, J.K. Simmons, Rashida Jones, Joan Cusack, Will Sasso and Norm Macdonald. The movie centers on a selfish postman and a reclusive toymaker who form an unlikely friendship, delivering joy to a cold, dark town that desperately needs it.

Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross to Score David Fincher’s ‘Mank’
Trent Reznor has confirmed in a recent interview with Revolver that he is teaming up with Atticus Ross to score the upcoming Netflix original movie Mank. The film is directed by David Fincher and stars Gary Oldman, Amanda Seyfried, Lily Collins, Charles Dance, Tuppence Middleton, Arliss Howard, Ferdinand Kingsley, Jamie McShane, Joseph Cross, Sam Troughton, Toby Leonard Moore, Tom Burke, and Tom Pelphrey. The movie is based on a script by Fincher’s late father, Jack, and tells the story screenwriter Herman Mankiewicz’s tumultuous development of the script for Orson Welles’ Citizen Kane.
Vincent Jones to Score Netflix’s ‘Black Excellence’
Vincent Jones (Up All Night, Parks & Recreation theme song) has signed on to score the upcoming Netflix original series Black Excellence (#blackexcellence). The show is created by Kenya Barris (Black-ish, Girls Trip, Barbershop: The Next Cut) who also stars in the serires, alongside Rashida Jones. The comedy is described as “inspired by Barris’ irreverent, highly flawed, unbelievably honest approach to parenting, relationships, race, and culture.” Barris and Jones are also executive producing the Khalabo Ink Society production with Hale Rothstein.
Anne Nikitin to Score Gabriel Range’s ‘Stardust’ & Netflix’s ‘Fate: The Winx Saga’
Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Mrs. Wilson, Calibre, This Beautiful Fantastic) has been tapped to score the upcoming biographical drama Stardust. The film is directed by Gabriel Range (Death of a Paradise, I Am Slave) and stars Johnny Flynn as David Bowie, Jena Malone as Bowie’s wife Angie and Marc Maron as publicist Rob Oberman. The movie follows the music icon as he embarks on his first road trip to America in 1971 and creates his Ziggy Stardust persona. Christopher Bell wrote the screenplay. Paul Van Carter & Nick Taussig (Churchill, My Name Is Lenny, McQueen) are producing the Salon production.

Daniel Rojas is the composer of the DreamWorks Animation’s new Netflix series Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts. The show is created by Radford Sechrist, developed for television by Bill Wolkoff and features the voices of Karen Fukuhara, Deon Cole, Coy Stewart, Sydney Mikayla and Dee Bradley Baker, as well as guest stars including Sterling K. Brown, Dan Stevens, Lea Delaria, Joan Jett, John Hodgman and GZA. The animated adventure series follows a sheltered girl who gets a crash course in survival when a mutant attack sends her to the surface, far from the safety of her underground home.
