Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Crime Story, Feud: Bette and Joan) has recently been scoring the upcoming Netflix original series Ratched. The show is created by Evan Romansky based on Ken Kesey’s novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and stars Sarah Paulson in the title role of Nurse Ratched, alongside Finn Wittrock, Jon Jon Briones, Judy Davis, Harriet Harris, Cynthia Nixon, Charlie Carver, Corey Stoll, Hunter Parrish, Amanda Plummer and Sharon Stone. The drama tracks Ratched’s journey and evolution from an average nurse to full-fledged monster.

Soundtrack Album for Netflix Documentary ‘Becoming’ Released
Young Turks Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix documentary Becoming. The album features the film’s original music composed by jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington. The soundtrack is now available to stream and download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Becoming is is directed by Nadia Hallgren and offers a look into the life of former First Lady Michelle Obama during a moment of profound change, not only for her personally but for the country she and her husband served over eight impactful years in the White House. The movie follows Obama as she embarks on a 34-city tour.
Tom Holkenborg (Junkie XL) to Score Zack Snyder’s ‘Army of the Dead’
Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) has confirmed at a Reddit AMA today that he is reuniting with director Zack Snyder on the upcoming Netflix original film Army of the Dead. The film starring Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi, Chris D’Elia, Huma Qureshi, Garret Dillahunt, Raúl Castillo, Omari Hardwick, Hiroyuki Sanada and Matthias Schweighöfer takes place following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, when a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted. Snyder also co-wrote the screenplay with Joby Harold (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) and Shay Hatten (John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum).
Will Ferrell’s & My Marianne’s ‘Volcano Man’ from Netflix’s ‘Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga’ Released
Arista Records has released the original song Volcano Man from the Netflix original film Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. The track is written by Gustaf Holter & Christian Persson and performed by Will Ferrell & My Marianne. The song is now available to stream/download as a digital single on Amazon. Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is directed by David Dobkin and stars Ferrell himself, Rachel McAdams, Pierce Brosnan, Dan Stevens and Demi Lovato. The comedy follows two aspiring musicians who are given the opportunity of a lifetime to represent their country at the world’s biggest song competition, where they finally have a chance to prove that any dream worth having is a dream worth fighting.

Unkle Productions will release a soundtrack album for the French TV series Inhuman Resources (Dérapages). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Eric Neveux (The Insult, The Attack, Intimacy, A Stork’s Journey, Zombillennium, Spirou & Fantasio’s Big Adventures).. Inhuman Resources is written by Pierre Lemaitre & Perrine Margaine based on Lemaitre’s novel Cadres noirs, directed by Ziad Doueiri stars Eric Cantona, Suzanne Clément and Alex Lutz. The 6-part thriller revolves around Alain Delambre, an unemployed 57-year old man as he is lured by an attractive job opening, but things get ugly when he realizes he’s a pawn in a cruel corporate game.
‘White Lines’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Milan Records has announced a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series White Lines. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool, Alita: Battle Angel, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Black Mass, Divergent). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, May 15 and will be available to stream/download here. White Lines is created by Álex Pina (Money Heist) and stars Laura Haddock, Nuno Lopes, Marta Milans, Daniel Mays, Juan Diego Botto, Laurence Fox and Angela Griffin. The drama follows a young woman who leaves her quiet life behind to investigate her brother’s disappearance in Ibiza, where she quickly heads down a decadent and dangerous path.
Carter Burwell Scoring Netflix’s ‘Space Force’
Carter Burwell (Fargo, Carol, Twilight, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, True Grit) has recently scored the first season of the upcoming Netflix original series Space Force. The show is created by Steve Carell & Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation) and stars Carell himself, alongside John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz, Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy O. Yang, Noah Emmerich, Alex Sparrow and Don Lake. The comedy revolves around a decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force as he is thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force.
Mikael Åkerfeldt to Compose Music for Netflix’s ‘Clark’
Netflix has announced today that songwriter Mikael Åkerfeldt, lead vocalist and guitarist of the metal band Opeth, is set to compose the music for the upcoming Netflix original series Clark. The show is co-written and directed by Jonas Åkerlund (Lords of Chaos, Polar) and stars Bill Skarsgård as Swedish criminal Clark Olofsson who has been referred to as a “celebrity gangster” and has given rise to the concept of Stockholm syndrome, managed to escape prisons and committed robberies all over Europe. The 6-parter is based Olofsson’s autobiography Vafan var det som hände and will follow his early years until present day. Åkerlund and Skarsgård are also executive producing the Scandinavian Content Group production with Hans Engholm.
