Composer/pianist Harold Budd has made his television scoring debut on the new HBO limited series I Know This Much Is True. The show is written and directed by Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine, The Place Beyond the Pines) and stars Mark Ruffalo, Melissa Leo, Rosie O’Donnell, Archie Panjabi, Imogen Poots, John Procaccino, Rob Huebel, Philip Ettinger, Aisling Franciosi, Michael Greyeyes, Guillermo Diaz, Marcello Fonte, Bruce Greenwood, Brian Goodman, Juliette Lewis and Kathryn Hahn. The 6-part drama is based on the bestselling novel by Wally Lamb and revolves around a man he struggles to care for his twin brother, while discovering the truth about his own family history. Cianfrance, Ruffalo and Lamb are also executive producing the project for Willi Hill Productions, alongside Gregg Fienberg (Big Little Lies, True Blood), Lynette Howell Taylor (A Star Is Born, The Accountant), Ben Browning (Late Night, Miss Sloane) & Glen Basner for FilmNation Entertainment, as well as Anya Epstein (In Treatment). Budd has previously contributed original music to several features, including Gregg Araki’s Mysterious Skin and White Bird in a Blizzard.
