Warner Bros. Records has released a soundtrack album for the thriller Mall. The album features the film’s original music composed by Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn, Mike Shinoda (The Raid) & composer Alec Puro (The Art of Getting By, The Fosters). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Mall is directed by Joe Hahn and stars Vincent D’Onofrio, Gina Gershon, Cameron Monaghan, Peter Stormare and James Frecheville. The movie follows five disaffected suburbanites whose lives come together at a shopping mall following a seemingly random shooting.

‘Medal of Honor: Warfighter’ Soundtrack Details
The details for one of this year’s most anticipated first person shooters, Medal of Honor: Warfighter have been revealed. The album features the video game’s original music written by film and TV composer Ramin Djawadi (Iron Man, Clash of the Titans, Game of Thrones), as well as additional score composed by Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda who made his film scoring debut with this year’s action movie The Raid: Redemption. The soundtrack will be released on September 25, 2012 by Electronic Arts Music and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Medal of Honor: Warfighter developed by Danger Close Games and to be published by Electronic Arts is a direct sequel to 2010’s series reboot Medal of Honor, which also featured music by Djawadi. The 14th installment in the series will be released on October 23.

Already breaking box office records is the film adaptation of the bestseller The Hunger Games directed by Gary Ross and starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Stanley Tucci, Elizabeth Banks and Woody Harrelson. James Newton Howard has written the film’s score and T Bone Burnett is the project’s executive music producer. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score will be released next week by Universal Republic. Check out the full album details here. Mike Shinoda and Joseph Trapanese have composed the score for the film. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the score, as well as the song Razors.Out featuring vocals by Chino from Deftones. ‘The Raid: Redemption’ Soundtrack Announced
Mike Shinoda has announced on his official website that a soundtrack album for the Indonesian martial arts action film The Raid: Redemption will be released this week. The album features the film’s original score written by the Linkin Park member and Joseph Trapanese (who is best known for his collaboration with Daft Punk on Tron:Legacy), as well as the song Razors.Out featuring vocals by Chino from Deftones. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 20, 2012 and is available to download on iTunes. A CD version is coming out next month and is available to pre-order exclusively on the official soundtrack website, where you can also check out audio previews of the score. The Raid: Redemption is directed by Gareth Huw Evans and centers on a SWAT team that infiltrates and attempts to take over an apartment complex acting as a safe house for a drug lord. Sony Pictures Classics will release the film this Friday, March 23 in select cities and a nationwide release is planned for April 13.

A film that is likely to find distribution within the next few days or weeks given its high profile cast and positive critical reaction is the comedy drama Robot and Frank directed by Jake Schreier. The movie stars Frank Langella as an elderly ex-jewel thief who leads a lonely life until his grown children install a robot to care for him, sparking off an unlikely friendship. Susan Sarandon, James Marsden, Liv Tyler, Peter Saarsgard (as the robot’s voice), Jeremy Sisto and Jeremy Strong are co-starring. Christopher Ford has written the screenplay and Galt Niederhoffer (The Romantics), Sam Bisbee, Jackie Kelman Bisbee and Lance Acord (BAFTA-nominated cinematographer for Lost in Translation) are producing. The film’s music is written by Francis and the Lights (aka Francis Farewell Starlit). The project marks the singer/songwriter’s first film music project.
Steve Jablonsky and Linkin Park Collaborating on ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’
Linkin Park announced on their official website (via ComingSoon.net) that they have once again teamed up with composer Steve Jablonsky for the music of the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The band’s new single Iridescent will be featured as the end credits song in the sequel. The track is a fresh take of the song, which originally appeared on Linkin Park’s current album A Thousand Suns. The band previously contributed the songs What I’ve Done and New Divide for the previous Transformers movies, with the latter also being included in Steve Jablonsky’s score for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Linkin Park also published a new video about the film’s music, which you can watch after the jump. In the video, Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda and Steve Jablonsky talk about their collaboration and the placement of Iridescent in the film.
