A24 Music will release a soundtrack album for the psychological horror thriller The Front Room. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 6 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Marcelo Zarvos Scoring Stephen Chbosky’s ‘Nonnas’
Composer Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, The Equalizer 3, May December, Emancipation, The Good Shepherd, The Affair, Ray Donovan) is reuniting with director Stephen Chbosky (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Dear Evans Hansen) on the upcoming comedy Nonnas. The film starring Vince Vaughn, Susan Sarandon, Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire, Linda Cardellini, Brenda Vaccaro, Drea De Matteo, Michael Rispoli, Joe Manganiello & Campbell Scott is based on the true story of Brooklyn native Joe Scaravella. The movie follows Scarvella who – after losing his beloved mother – yearns for a second chance at life and – motivated by his Italian mother’s love of cooking – opens a restaurant unlike any other by hiring the most unlikely team of chefs consisting of grandmothers.

Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, May December, The Equalizer 3, Wonder, Emancipation, The Affair, The Good Shepherd, Ray Donovan) has been tapped to score the upcoming psychological horror thriller The Front Room. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Max Eggers (who co-wrote The Lighthouse with his brother Robert) & Sam Eggers and stars Brandy Norwood, Andrew Burnap, Kathryn Hunter and Neal Huff. The movie is based on Susan Hill’s short story of the same title and follows a young woman whose ailing mother-in-law who who has long been estranged from the family moves in with her and proves to be the house guest from hell. The Eggers Brothers also wrote the screenplay.
‘May December’ Soundtrack Album Released
Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the drama May December. The album features the music from the film, including original score cues composed by Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, The Equalizer 3, Emancipation, The Affair, Ray Donovan), as well as tracks from the 1971 feature The Go-Between written by Michel Legrand (The Thomas Crown Affair, Never Say Never Again, Summer of ’42, Yentl), which have been adapted by Zarvos into his score. A number of major film/TV/video game composers will be participating at the 14th Annual Fans of Film Music event, which will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at The Mayflower Club in North, Hollywood CA. This year’s panelists include Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder) who recently scored Antoine Fuqua’s hit thriller The Equalizer 3, Anthony Willis (Promising Young Woman, How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming) whose latest project, Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn, will be released this November and Nami Melumad (Thor: Love and Thunder, An American Pickle) whose current projects include the TV shows Star Trek: Strange New World & Prodigy.
