Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the horror comedy Slice. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ludwig Goransson (Black Panther, Creed, Community, Fruitvale Station) and Nathan Matthew David (The Last Word, Angie Tribeca). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 14, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Slice is written and directed by Austin Vesely and stars Zazie Beetz, Chance the Rapper and Will Brill. The movie is set in a spooky small town, where a slew of pizza delivery boys are slain on the job, and follows two daring survivors who set out to catch the culprits behind the cryptic crime spree.

‘Black Panther’ – Wakanda Remixed Album Released
Marvel Music and Hollywood Records have released an EP featuring five remixes of the score for Marvel Studios’ Black Panther composed by Ludwig Goransson (Creed, Community, Venom, Fruitvale Station). In addition to Goranssson himself, DJ Dahi, WondaGurl and Uzowuru & Kleinman have contributed tracks to the album based on the film score to the hit movie directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke and Andy Serkis. The EP is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples.
Ludwig Goransson & Nathan Matthew David Scoring Austin Vesely’s ‘Slice’
Ludwig Goransson and Nathan Matthew David have composed the original score for the upcoming horror comedy Slice. The film is written and directed by Austin Vesely and stars Zazie Beetz, Will Brill and Chance the Rapper. The movie takes place in mysterious city and centers around an enigmatic outlaw framed for a killing spree that targets unsuspecting pizza delivery boys. Brandon Riley is producing the comedy.
Ludwig Goransson to Score Ruben Fleischer’s ‘Venom’
Ludwig Goransson (Black Panther, Creed, Community, Fruitvale Station) has signed on to score the upcoming superhero movie Venom. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad) and stars Tom Hardy in the title role, alongside Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze and Reid Scott. Th movie is based Marvel Entertainment’s characters created by David Michelinie & Todd McFarlane. No plot details have been announced yet.

Opening in most theaters is the spy thriller Red Sparrow directed by Francis Lawrence and starring Jennifer Lawrence, Joel Edgerton, Matthias Schoenaerts, Charlotte Rampling, Mary-Louise Parker and Jeremy Irons. ‘Death Wish’ Soundtrack Details
Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the revenge thriller Death Wish. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ludwig Goransson (Black Panther, Creed, Community, Fruitvale Station, Everything, Everything). The soundtrack will be released on February 23, 2018 and will be available for pre-order here within the next couple of days. Death Wish is directed by Eli Roth and stars Bruce Willis, Vincent D’Onofrio, Elisabeth Shue, Camila Morrone, Dean Norris and Kimberly Elise. The movie is based on the 1974 classic of the same title and follows a mild-mannered father who is transformed into a killing machine after his family is torn apart by a violent act.
5th Annual Superhero Music Panel at Comic-Con Announced
The line-up of the 5th Annual Musical Anatomy of a Superhero panel has been announced. A number of Hollywood film and TV composers will explain the process and challenges of creating the musical voice behind the superhero and their environment as well as collaborating with the director, producers and the franchise. Participating composers include Marco Beltrami who recently scored James Mangold’s Logan, and has previously scored comic book movies including The Wolverine, Fantastic Four and Hellboy, Brian Tyler whose superhero film credits include Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor: The Dark World and Iron Man 3 and Ludwig Goransson who is making his scoring debut in the genre on Marvel’s upcoming Black Panther.
