Steven Argila is reteaming with Paul Reiser on the upcoming period comedy There’s… Johnny!. The show is created by Reiser & David Steven Simon (Mad About You) and stars Tony Danza, Ian Nelson, Jane Levy, Roger Bart, T’Keyah Crystal Keymáh, Nate Smith, David Hoffman, Daniel Strauss and Andrew Schulz. The series follows a wide-eyed 19-year-old Nebraskan who stumbles into a job on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in the 1970s and a young Talent Coordinator on the show. Reiser and Simon are executive producing the project.

Soundtrack for Hulu’s ‘Harlots’ to Be Released
Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the Hulu original series Harlots. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Rael Jones (Suite Francaise, My Cousin Rachel, Kids in Love). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 19 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Harlots is created by Moira Buffini & Alison Newman and stars Samantha Morton, Jessica Brown Findlay, Eloise Smyth and Lesley Manville. The drama is set in 18th century London and centers on a woman who struggles to reconcile her roles as brothel owner and mother to her daughters.

Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, May 15, is the British mini-series Decline and Fall written by James Woods, directed by Guillem Morales and starring Jack Whitehall, David Suchet and Eva Longoria. The 3-parter’s original music is composed by Paul Englishby (An Education, Miss Petigrew Lives for a Day, The Musketeers). The comedy is based on Evelyn Waugh’s classic novel and follows an inoffensive divinity student at Oxford University in the 1920s,who is wrongly dismissed for indecent exposure having been made the victim of a prank by The Bollinger Club. Siddhartha Khosla to Score Marvel’s ‘Runaways’
Siddhartha Khosla has been hired to score the upcoming Hulu original series Runaways. The show is created by Josh Schwartz (The O.C., Chuck) & Stephanie Savage (Gossip Girl, The Carrie Diaries) and stars Gregg Sulkin, Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer and Allegra Acosta. The drama is based on the Marvel Comics property created by Brian K. Vaughan & Adrian Alphona and revolves around a group of teenagers who discover that their parents are in an evil crime organization and team up to run away from their homes in order to atone for their parents’ actions and to discover the secrets of their origins.
Halli Cauthery to Score Hulu’s ‘Future Man’
Halli Cauthery has been tapped to compose the music for the upcoming Hulu original series Future Man. The show is created by Kyle Hunter & Ariel Shaffir (Sausage Party, The Night Before) and stars Josh Hutcherson, Eliza Coupe, Derek Wilson, Ed Begley Jr. and Glenne Headly. The comedy follows a janitor by day/world-ranked gamer by night who is tasked with preventing the extinction of humanity after mysterious visitors from the future proclaim him the key to defeating the imminent super-race invasion. Hunter and Shaffir are also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production with Matt Tolmach (The Amazing Spider-Man), James Weaver (Neighbors, Preacher), showrunner Ben Karlin (50/50) and Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg (This Is the End, The Interview) who are also directing the first three episodes.
Soundtrack for Hulu’s ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Hulu original series The Handmaid’s Tale. The album features the film’s original music composed by Adam Taylor (Before I Fall, Meadowland). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 5, 2017 and physically a few weeks later. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. The Handmaid’s Tale is created by Bruce Miller based on the classic novel by Margaret Atwood and stars Elisabeth Moss, Samira Wiley, Joseph Fiennes, Alexis Bledel, Max Minghella, Yvonne Strahovski, O.T. Mary Kills People centers on a single mother who is an ER doctor by day, but by night, she and her partner, a former plastic surgeon, moonlight as underground angels of death and help terminally ill patients slip away on their own terms. The drama is set in 18th century London and centers on a woman who struggles to reconcile her roles as brothel owner and mother to her daughters. Buffini and Newman are also executive producing the project with Alison Owen (Elizabeth, Saving Mr. Banks), Debra Hayward (Les Miserables, Bridget Jones’s Baby) and Alison Carpenter.
