Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, The Martian, Shrek, Mulan, Kingdom of Heaven, Man on Fire) is composing original music for the upcoming documentary Life in a Day 2020. The film is directed by Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland, Touching the Void) and follows the concept of the original 2011 Life in a Day movie. The crowdsourced documentary is compiled from 15,000 hours of footage captured on July 25, 2020 and submitted from 192 countries. Jack Arbuthnott (The Aftermath, Lords of Chaos) and Tim Partridge are producing the project. Ridley Scott serves as an executive producer.

The only movie opening in theaters nationwide this week is the spy thriller Tenet written and directed by Christopher Nolan and starring John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Clémence Poésy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh and Himesh Patel. The film’s original music is composed by Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, The Mandalorian, Creed, Community, Venom). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as Travis Scott’s original song The Plan co-written and produced by Göransson. Christina Aguilera’s ‘Reflection’ from Niki Caro’s ‘Mulan’ Released
Walt Disney Records has released the new version of the song Reflection from Disney’s live-action film adaptation of Mulan. The track, which was originally written by David Zippel and Matthew Wilder for the 1998 animated classic, is produced by the movie’s composer Harry Gregson-Williams and performed by Christina Aguilera. The track will also be featured on the official soundtrack album, which will be released on September 4 and also includes Gregson-Williams’ score, as well as Aguilera’s original song Loyal Brave True, which is already out now.

The full details of the soundtrack album for Disney’s live-action remake of Mulan have been revealed. The track list of the soundtrack album for Disney’s live-action remake of Mulan has been revealed. Also included is the original song Loyal Brave True performed by Christina Aguilera, written by Jamie Hartman, Gregson-Williams, Rosi Golan & Billy Crabtree (available as a digital single now), a new version of Reflection (originally written by David Zippel & Matthew Wilder for the 1998 animated feature) performed by Aguilera, as well as a Mandarin version of the song performed by lead actress Yifei Liu. The soundtrack was originally set to be released on March 25 and now expected to come out when the movie opens in theaters later this year or in 2021.
Harry Gregson-Williams to Score Antoine Fuqua’s ‘Infinite’
Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, The Martian, Shrek, Kingdom of Heaven, Man on Fire) has been tapped to score the upcoming sci-fi action thriller Infinite. The film is directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Magnificent Seven, Southpaw) and stars Mark Wahlberg, Dylan O’Brien, Sophie Cookson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Rupert Friend, Jason Mantzoukas and Tom Hughes. The movie is based on D. Eric Maikranz’s novel The Reincarnationist Papers and centers on a troubled young man haunted by memories of two past lives who stumbles upon Cognomina, a secret society of people who possess total recall of their past lives, and decides to join their ranks. John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side, Saving Mr. Banks) and Ian Shorr (Splinter) wrote the screenplay.
Christina Aguilera’s Original Song ‘Loyal Brave True’ from ‘Mulan’ Released
Walt Disney Records has released the original song Loyal Brave True from the live-action film adaptation of Mulan. The song is performed by Christina Aguilera, written by Jamie Hartman, the film’s composer Harry Gregson-Williams, Rosi Golan and Billy Crabtree, and produced by Hartman. The track is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. Listen to the full track after the jump. Aguilera has also recorded a new version of Reflections (originally written by David Zippel & Matthew Wilder for Disney’s 1998 animated feature), which is produced by Gregson-Williams who incorporated both songs into his underscore. Apple TV+’s ‘Amazing Stories’ to Feature Music by Harry Gregson-Williams, Ramin Djawadi, Mark Isham & Others
The full composer line-up of the first episodes of Apple TV+’s reboot of the anthology series Amazing Stories has been revealed. Nicholas Pike (Critters 2, Return to Me, Captain Ron) has scored the first episode, The Cellar (premiering on March 6), directed by Chris Long (The Americans) and starring Victoria Pedretti and Dylan O’Brien. Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Westworld, Iron Man) & Brandon Campbell (Slender Man, The Thinning) have co-scored the second episode, The Heat (premiering on March 13), directed by Sylvain White (Stomp the Yard, The Losers) and starring E’myri Crutchfield, Hailey Kilgore and Shane Paul McGhie. Episode 3, entitled Dynoman and the Volt (premiering on March 20), directed by Susanna Fogel (The Spy Who Dumped Me) and starring Robert Forster & Tyler Crumley is scored by Noah Sorota (Falling Skies, Jinn).
‘Manhunt: Deadly Games’ Soundtrack Released
Lionsgate Records has released a soundtrack album for the Spectrum Originals series Manhunt: Deadly Games. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed and produced by Golden Globe nominee Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, Shrek, The Martian) and Stephanie Economou (Step Up: High Water). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples.
