Daniel Hart (Pete’s Dragon, A Ghost Story, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints) is scoring the upcoming Amazon original series Forever. The show is created by Alan Yang (Master of None, Parks and Recreation) & Matt Hubbard and stars Maya Rudolph, Fred Armisen, Catherine Keener, Kym Whitley and Noah Robbins. The comedy centers on a married couple who live a comfortable but very predictable life when suddenly they find themselves in a completely unexpected situation, raising questions about love and marriage.

Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the thriller Sicario: Day of the Soldado directed by Stefano Sollima and starring Benicio Del Toro, Josh Brolin, Isabela Moner, Jeffrey Donovan, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo and Catherine Keener. The film’s original is composed by Hildur Gudnadottir (Mary Magdalene, Strong Island, The Oath). Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Premiering on Friday, June 15, is the Netflix original movie Set It Up directed by Claire Scanlon and starring Zoey Deutch, Glen Powell, Taye Diggs and Lucy Liu. Laura Karpman (Underground, Paris Can Wait, Taken mini-series, Step) has composed the film’s original score. CBS All Access’ ‘Strange Angel’ to Feature Music by Daniel Hart
Daniel Hart is composing the music for the upcoming CBS All Access original series Strange Angel. The show is created by Mark Heyman (Black Swan, The Skeleton Twins) based on George Pendle’s book of the same name and stars Jack Reynor, Rupert Friend, Bella Heathcote, Michael Gaston and Greg Wise. The drama follows the life of a mysterious and brilliant man in 1940s Los Angeles, who by day helps birth the entirely unknown discipline of American rocketry, and by night is a performer of sex magick rituals.
Soundtrack Album for Fox’s ‘The Exorcist’ TV Series Released
Milan Records has released the first soundtrack album for the Fox drama The Exorcist. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, 300, John Wick, Dawn of the Dead, Watchmen). Also included is the series’ main titles theme written by Daniel Hart (Pete’s Dragon, A Ghost Story). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Exorcist is developed by Jeremy Slater and stars Alfonso Herrera, Ben Daniels, Kurt Egyiawa and John Cho. The show follows two very different priests tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession.

Premiering tonight is the new Showtime original series SMILF created by Frankie Shaw who also stars in the comedy alongside Miguel Gomez, Rosie O’Donnell and Samara Weaving. The show’s original music is composed by Daniel Hart (Pete’s Dragon, A Ghost Story, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, The Exorcist) is composing the show’s original music. Zoe Keating and Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, Star Trek: Discovery) also contributed additional music. Also premiering tonight is the second season of the Starz original series The Girlfriend Experience created by Amy Seimetz & Lodge Kerrigan, executive produced by Steven Soderbergh and starring Anna Friel, Louisa Krause, Narges Rashidi, Carmen Ejogo, Tunde Adebimpe, Harmony Korine and Morgana Davies. Mondo Boys (Phoenix Forgotten, Dave Made a Maze) have joined the project as new composers this season. They follow Shane Carruth who scored last year’s first season of the drama. Daniel Hart Scoring Showtime’s ‘SMILF’
Daniel Hart is scoring the new Showtime original series SMILF. The show is created by Frankie Shaw who also stars in the series alongside Miguel Gomez, Rosie O’Donnell and Samara Weaving. The comedy follows a smart, scrappy, young single mom trying to navigate the realities of motherhood with an extremely unconventional family. Shaw is also executive producing the ABC Signature Studios production with Lee Eisenburg & Gene Stupnitsky (Bad Teacher, The Office) and Michael London (Sideways, The Visitor).
‘Uncertain’ Soundtrack Released
A soundtrack album has been released for the documentary Uncertain. The album features the film’s original music composed by Daniel Hart (Pete’s Dragon, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, A Ghost Story, The Exorcist, Tumbledown). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Uncertain is directed by Ewan McNicol & Anna Sandilands and centers on the Texas-Louisiana border town of Uncertain, whose residents – all 94 of them – are struggling to save their lake, and livelihood, while three men battle their own demons in search of forgiveness and redemption.
