Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the horror thriller The New Mutants directed by Josh Boone and starring Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt and Henry Zaga. The film’s original music is composed by (The X-Files, Millennium, La Femme Nikita, Crazy in Alabama, Smallville). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the comedy drama The Personal History of David Copperfield directed by and starring Dev Patel, Tilda Swinton, Hugh Laurie, Peter Capaldi, Ben Whishaw, Paul Whitehouse and Gwendoline Christie. Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, Veep, The Lion Guard, Mickey Mouse) has composed the film’s original music. MVKA has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this year when the movie opened in the UK. A soundtrack album has been released for the Mexican comedy Todo Mal. The album features the film’s original music composed by Andrew Kawczynski (Sky Hunter) who is best known for his contributions to numerous scores written by Hans Zimmer, including The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Chappie and Man of Steel. Also included are songs by Fuerzas de la Naturaleza and Jessie & the Gentlemen. The soundtrack is now available to download on 
Andrew Kawczynski has recently recorded his music for the upcoming Chinese war action drama Sky Hunter. Hans Zimmer serves as the score producer. The film marks the directorial debut of actor Li Chen who also stars in the movie alongside Fan Bingbing, Wang Qianyuan, Li Jiahang and Leon Lee. The movie follows an elite air force who are called into action to resolve a hostage crisis and foil a terrorist plot. Jianmin Lv (Wolf Warrior) is producing the project. Kawczynski has previously contributed additional music to numerous scores by Zimmer, including Man of Steel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Chappie.
