‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 (Part 2) Soundtrack Album Released

Capitol Records has released the full soundtrack album for the third season of the Netflix original series Bridgerton have been revealed. The album features the covers from Season 3, including Ariana Grande’s POV by Strings from Paris, Demi Lovato’s Confident by Archer Marsh, Imagine Dragons’ Thunder by Thomas Mercier, Taylor Swifts’ You Belong With Me by Duomo, Coldplay’s Yellow by Vitamin String Quartet and Ellie Goulding’s Lights by Archer Marsh. Also included is an orchestral version of Tori Kelly’s original song All I Want (released as a digital single last week) arranged by the show’s composer Kris Bowers (listen to the track below). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Lin-Manuel Miranda to Serve as Producer on Disney’s ‘Moana’ Live-Action Film

Disney announced today that Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, In the Heights, Encanto) will serve as a producer on the studio’s upcoming live-action remake of the 2016 animated feature Moana. The movie will be directed by Thomas Kail (Fosse/Verdon, We Were the Lucky Ones) and star Catherine Laga‘aia in the title role of the adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. Dwayne Johnson will reprise his role of demigod Maui and is joined by new cast members John Tui as Moana’s father, Chief Tui, Frankie Adams as her mother, Sina, as well as Rena Owen as Gramma Tala. Quincy Jones to Receive Honorary Oscar at 15th Governor Awards

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced today that its Board of Governors voted to present Academy Honorary Awards to two artists, including composer, songwriter and record producer Quincy Jones. He will receive the Oscar at the Academy’s Governors Awards event on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood. Jones’ film credits include Norman Jewison’s In the Heat of the Night and he has earned a total of seven Oscar nominations for his work on such films as Richard Brooks’ In Cold Blood, Sidney Lumet’s The Wiz and Steven Spielberg’s The Color Purple, receiving a Best Picture nomination (as a producer) for the latter. ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ 3-LP Set Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Announced

Varèse Sarabande and Craft Recordings have announced the first-ever vinyl release of the expanded deluxe edition soundtrack album for J.J. Abrams’ 2013 sci-fi adventure Star Trek Into Darkness starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood and Benedict Cumberbatch. The album featuring the film’s original score composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, The Incredibles, Jurassic World, Lost, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Ratatouille, The Batman) is being released on vinyl as a 3-LP Blue, Red, and Yellow set themed after the iconic Starfleet uniforms. The collection, which includes a 16-page booklet with behind-the-scenes photos from the set and notes from Abrams and Giacchino, will be released on September 6. The 3-LP tricolor set (limited to 1,000 copies) is now available for pre-order on Amazon (and other North American retailers), while a Translucent Clear set will be available for the rest of the world.
