Republic Records will release the official soundtrack album for the drama CODA. The album features the film’s original music composed Marius de Vries (Kick-Ass, Sucker Punch, Strange Magic, Teen Spirit, Easy Virtue) and produced by himself and Nicholai Baxter. Also included are tracks by Etta James, The Clash, Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell, as well as the original song Beyond the Shore written by de Vries, Baxter, director Siân Heder & Matt Dahan and performed by lead actress Emilia Jones. Director Matthias Schweighöfer has announced that Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Gladiator, Inception, The Lion King) and Steve Mazzaro (The Boss Baby, The Rhythm Section) will score the upcoming Netflix original film Army of Thieves. The prequel to Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead (scored by Tom Holkenborg) stars Schweighöfer himself, Nathalie Emmanuel, Guz Khan, Ruby O. Fee, Stuart Martin, Jonathan Cohen, Noemie Nakai and Peter Simonischek. The movie follows a small-town bank teller who gets drawn into the adventure of a lifetime when a mysterious woman recruits him to join a crew of Interpol’s most wanted criminals, attempting to heist a sequence of legendary, impossible-to-crack safes across Europe.
