Premiering on Wednesday, November 24, is Marvel Studios’ Disney+ limited series Hawkeye developed by Jonathan Igla, directed by Rhys Thomas & Bert and Bertie and starringJeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Vera Farmiga, Tony Dalton, Fra Fee, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and Alaqua Cox. The show’s original score is composed by Christophe Beck (Frozen, Ant-Man, WandaVision, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover, Free Guy, The Muppets, Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Also premiering on Wednesday is the HBO Max original movie 8-Bit Christmas directed by Michael Dowse and starring Neil Patrick Harris, Winslow Fegley, David Cross, June Diane Raphael and Steve Zahn. Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Shadow and Bone, Straight Outta Compton, The Witcher, Stuber, The Raid: Redemption, The Greatest Showman, Arctic) has composed the film’s original music. ‘Terminal Exposure’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Notefornote Entertainment has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1987 action comedy Terminal Exposure (aka Double Exposure) co-written and directed by Nico Mastorakis and starring Nico Mastorakis and starring Mark Hennessy, Scott King, Hope Marie Carlton, John Vernon, Steve Donmyer, Joe Estevez and Ted Lange. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, The Lion King, Inception, The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Dune, Interstellar, Rain Man, Thelma & Louise), as well as additional music by Mel Wesson and Roger Bolton . Steve Jablonsky Scoring Jared Stern’s ‘DC League of Super-Pets’

Steve Jablonsky (Transformers, The Island, Deepwater Horizon, Ender’s Game, Desperate Housewives) has recently been scoring the upcoming animated feature DC League of Super-Pets. The film is directed by Jared Stern (Green Eggs and Ham, Happy Anniversary) and features the voices of Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, John Krasinski, Kate McKinnon, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna and Keanu Reeves. The movie is based on the DC Comics title and follows the pets of superheroes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Supergirl who team up with a flying cat to stop crime. Read the rest of this entry »

‘The Tamarind Seed’ Soundtrack Released

Silva Screen Records has released the first officially sanctioned soundtrack album for the 1974 romance thriller The Tamarind Seed written and directed by Blake Edwards and starring Julie Andrews, Omar Sharif, Anthony Quayle, Dan O’Herlihy, Sylvia Syms and Oskar Homolka. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Barry (Dances with Wolves, Out of Africa, Goldfinger, Body Heat, The Man with the Golden Gun, Somewhere in Time, Octopussy), as well as Wilma Reading’s commercially released single Play It Again, two different versions of The End performed by Danny Street, plus different versions of both main and end title themes. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural comedy Ghostbusters: Afterlife directed by Jason Reitman and starring Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Annie Potts and Paul Rudd. The film’s original music is composed by Rob Simonsen (Foxcatcher, The Way Back, Nerve, Tully, (500) Days of Summer, The Age of Adeline, The Front Runner). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening nationwide is the drama King Richard directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and starring Will Smith, Aunjanue Ellis, Demi Singleton, Saniyya Sidney, Jon Bernthal, Kevin Dunn, Tony Goldwyn and Andy Bean. Kris Bowers (Bridgerton, Dear White People, Green Book, When They See Us, The United States vs. Billie Holiday, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Mrs. America) has composed the film’s original music. ‘Bruised’ Soundtrack Album Released

Warner Records has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Bruised. The album features the songs from the movie by artists such as Cardi B, H.E.R., Saweetie, Latto, City Girls, Young M.A, Baby Tate, Rapsody & others. FKA twigs’ Original Song ‘Measure of a Man’ from Matthew Vaughn’s ‘The King’s Man’ Released

Parlaphone Records have released the original song Measure of a Man from Matthew Vaughn’s The King’s Man. The track is co-written and performed by FKA twigs (with Amanda Ghost, Jane Goldman, Jamie Hartman, John Hill, the film’s composers Dominic Lewis & Matthew Margeson and Vaughn himself) ft. Central Cee is now available to stream/download as a digital single (in two different versions) on Amazon and other digital music services. Listen to both versions after the jump. A full soundtrack album featuring Margeson’s & Lewis’ original score from the movie will be announced soon. The King’s Man is co-written and directed by Vaughn and stars Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Tom Hollander, Matthew Goode, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Brühl, Djimon Hounsou and Charles Dance. ‘Elf’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Album Announced

Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD Club series, including a new deluxe score album for the 2003 holiday classic Elf directed by Jon Favreau and starring Will Ferrell, James Caan, Mary Steenburgen, Bob Newhart, Ed Asner and Zooey Deschanel. The album features the expanded original music from the New Line Cinema production composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Iron Man 2, Hocus Pocus, The Emperor’s New Groove, Bruce Almighty), including around 30 minutes of previously unreleased music, as well as alternate tracks. The CD, which is limited to 2,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released the original 2003 score album featuring 30 minutes of Debney’s score at the time of the movie’s release, while WaterTower Music has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the comedy. ‘Encanto’ Soundtrack Album Details

The full details of the soundtrack album for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ feature Encanto have been revealed. The album features the original songs from the movie written by Tony and Grammy Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, Moana, In the Heights) performed by the film’s voice cast, as well as the full original score composed by Germaine Franco (Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Tag, Dope, Little). Also included is Colombia, Mi Encanto by Carlos Vives and the original song Dos Oruguitas in two different (Spanish and English language) versions. The digital version also includes instrumental versions of the songs. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here. A CD version will be released on December 17 by Wal Disney Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out a new video featurette about the film’s music after the jump. ‘The Wheel of Time’ Season 1 – Vol. 1 Soundtrack Released

Milan Records has released the first of three soundtrack albums featuring the original score from the first season of the Amazon original series The Wheel of Time. The Vol. 1 featuring music composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Black Widow, Bad Boys for Life, The Lego Batman Movie, His Dark Materials) is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. The second and third volume will be released over the next couple of weeks. The label has previously released a separate soundtrack featuring Balfe’s principal themes from the series last week. The Wheel of Time is developed by Rafe Judkins based on Robert Jordan’s fantasy epic of the same name and stars Rosamund Pike, Josha Stradowski, Marcus Rutherford, Barney Harris, Madeleine Madden, Zoë Robins, Hammed Animashaun, Daniel Henney, Álvaro Morte, Priyanka Bose, Johann Myers, Taylor Napier and Emmanuel Imani.
