Millaphon Records has released a soundtrack album for the Austrian animated feature Welcome to Siegheilkirchen (Willkommen in Siegheilkirchen). The album features the film’s original music composed by Gerd Baumann (Our Last Tango, The Keeper, Open Water 2: Adrift, My Life in Orange, Grave Decisions). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. Welcome to Siegheilkirchen directed by Marcus H. Rosenmüller & Santiago López Jover is set in a small town in the Austrian hinterland during the 1960s and follows the son of respectable innkeepers as he struggles with the narrow-mindedness and proudly cultivated xenophobia of his home village. The animated comedy premiered at last year’s Zurich Film Festival and has just been released in Austrian/German theaters this past Thursday.
