Composer Martin Todsharow is reteaming with director Robert Schwentke (Flightplan, The Time Traveler’s Wife) on the upcoming German comedy Seneca – On the Creation of Earthquakes. The film starring John Malkovich, Tom Xander, Louis Hofmann, Geraldine Chaplin, Alexander Fehling, Andrew Koji, Lilith Stangenberg, Mary-Louise Parker & Julian Sands is set in Rome in 65 AD and centers on the relationship between Emperor Nero and his mentor, Philosopher Seneca who accused him of plotting his assassination. Tribeca Tunes has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for the 2014 Chinese fantasy adventure The Monkey King: Havoc in Heaven’s Place directed by Soi Cheang and starring Aaron Kwok, Chow Yun-Fat, Peter Ho, Kelly Chen and Joe Chen. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3Hellraiser, Drag Me to HellEntrapment, The Hurricane, Sinister, The Exorcism of Emily Rose). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. The show is developed by Mindy Kaling & Charlie Grandy (The Mindy Project, The Sex Lives of College Girls) based on characters from the Scooby-Doo franchise and stars Kaling herself as the voice of the title character, Constance Wu as Daphne, Glenn Howerton as Fred and Sam Richardson as Shaggy. Augustus Muller (of the electronic music duo Boy Harsher) is making his feature film scoring debut on the upcoming horror romance My Animal. The movie is directed by Jacqueline Castel and stars Amandla Stenberg, Bobbi Salvör Menuez, Stephen McHattie, Heidi von Palleske, Joe Apollonio and Cory Lipman. The movie is set in a small northern town and tells the story of an outcast teenage hockey goalie who falls for the town’s newcomer, an alluring but tormented figure skater. Milan Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Emily in Paris. The album features five songs from the third season of the show season performed by Ashley Park (who stars as Mindy Chen), including a duet (a French language version of Lady Gaga’s & Bradley Cooper’s Shallow) with Kevin Dias. Also included are selections of the original score from the new season composed by Chris Alan Lee (Younger, First Wives Club, Heathers).
