Volker Bertelmann was honored with his first Academy Award for his score for Edward Berger’s Netflix World War I drama All Quiet on the Western Front at tonight’s 95th Oscar ceremony. Bertelmann who also won his first BAFTA Award last month for his work on the movie has previously been Oscar-nominated for 2016’s Lion (co-scored with Dustin O’Halloran). Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British limited series A Spy Among Friends created by Alexander Cary based on Ben Macintyre’s bestselling book and starring Damian Lewis, Guy Pearce, Stephen Kunken, Anna Maxwell Martin, and Adrian Edmondson. The show’s original music is composed by Dustin O’Halloran (Lion, Like Crazy, Transparent, The Old Guard, Ammonite, The Essex Serpent). Premiering on Friday, March 17, is the Hulu original movie Boston Strangler written and directed by Matt Ruskin and starring Keira Knightley, Carrie Coon, Alessandro Nivola, David Dastmalchian, Morgan Spector, Robert John Burke and Chris Cooper. Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Dynasty, Tales from the Loop, Wormwood) has composed the film’s original music. Genie Music has released a new soundtrack album for the South Korean Netflix original series The Glory. The album features selections of the original music from show composed by Jung Se Rin (A Frozen Flower, Barefoot Dream, Trolley), Joo In Ro, Kim Taejin, Kim Jun Seok, Kang Min Goo & others.
