MusicHub has released a soundtrack album for the German comedy The Peacock (Der Pfau). The album features the film’s original music composed by Kyrre Kvam (The Ground Beneath My Feet, KBV, How I Taught Myself to Be a Child). The Peacock is directed by Lutz Heineking Jr. and stars Lavinia Wilson, Tom Schilling, David Kross, Svenja Jung, Jürgen Vogel, Serkan Kaya and Annette Frier. Head Down First Music will release a soundtrack album for the horror thriller The Ghost Within. First Soundtrack Album for BBC’s ‘Wild Isles’ Released

Volker Bertelmann Wins Academy Award for ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ Score

Volker Bertelmann was honored with his first Academy Award for his score for Edward Berger’s Netflix World War I drama All Quiet on the Western Front at tonight’s 95th Oscar ceremony. Bertelmann who also won his first BAFTA Award last month for his work on the movie has previously been Oscar-nominated for 2016’s Lion (co-scored with Dustin O’Halloran). Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British limited series A Spy Among Friends created by Alexander Cary based on Ben Macintyre’s bestselling book and starring Damian Lewis, Guy Pearce, Stephen Kunken, Anna Maxwell Martin, and Adrian Edmondson. The show’s original music is composed by Dustin O’Halloran (Lion, Like Crazy, Transparent, The Old Guard, Ammonite, The Essex Serpent).
