Hammer Films & Silva Screen Records have announced a new soundtrack for the 1957 British cult horror classic The Curse of Frankenstein directed by Terence Fisher and starring Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Hazel Court and Robert Urquhart. The release marks the first title in a new series of Hammer soundtracks remastered and presented in deluxe packaging and features restored cues from the film composed James Bernard (Dracula, Taste the Blood of Dracula, The Gorgon, Windom’s Way) that have been curated into four suites. The soundtrack is being released on green vinyl across two 45rpm 7″ EPs and will be released this Friday, March 27 (visit Amazon to pre-order). The limited edition was created during Hammer’s 2025 4K restoration of the film, which was released last fall on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray.

World Premiere Release of ‘The Gorgon’ & ‘The Manster’ Scores Announced
Dragon’s Domain Records has announced a new soundtrack album featuring the world premiere release of two scores from 1950/60s cult horror movies. Titles on the album include 1964’s The Gorgon directed by Terence Fisher and starring Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Richard Pasco and Barbara Shelley featuring music by James Bernard (The Curse of Frankenstein, Dracula, Taste the Blood of Dracula, Windom’s Way) and 1959’s The Manster directed by George P. Breakston & Kenneth G. Crane and starring Peter Dyneley, Jane Hylton & Tetsu Nakamura feat. music by Hirooki Ogawa (Moonlight Mask, Watari, Ninja Boy) The Golden Age of Horror – Vol. 3 is now available to order as a limited edition CD on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio samples and find out more about the release. A digital version is also expected to come out in the coming weeks.
‘The Devil Rides Out’ Digital Soundtrack Album Announced
Silva Screen Records has announced a digital version of the soundtrack album for Hammer Films’ 1968 horror feature The Devil Rides Out directed by Terence Fisher and starring Christopher Lee, Niké Arrighi, Charles Gray and Leon Greene. The album features the film’s original music composed by James Bernard (The Curse of Frankenstein, Dracula, Taste the Blood of Dracula, Windom’s Way). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 11 and will be available to stream/download here. The label has previously released the world premiere vinyl edition of the soundtrack last year, while GDI has released a CD version back in 2000.
