Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie The Flash directed by Andy Muschietti and starring Ezra Miller, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Michael Keaton, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú and Kiersey Clemons. The film’s original music is composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (Shazam!, It, Blade Runner 2049, The Invisible Man, Hidden Figures). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Check out our previous article for the full album details and to learn more about the Warner Bros. Also opening wide this weekend is the animated feature Elemental directed by Peter Sohn and starring Leah Lewis, Mamoudou Athie, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ronnie del Carmen, Catherine O’Hara, Shila Ommi, Mason Wertheimer and Joe Pera. Thomas Newman (American Beauty, Finding Nemo, Wall-E, The Shawshank Redemption, Skyfall, 1917) has composed the film’s original score. Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score and an original song performed by Lauv today. Michael McCuistion, Lolita Ritmanis & Kristopher Carter (aka Dynamic Music Partners) (Batman: The Animated Series, Young Justice, Justice League, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) have composed the original music for the upcoming animated movie Babylon 5: The Road Home. The film is directed by Matt Peters (Injustice) and features the voices of Bruce Boxleitner, Claudia Christian, Peter Jurasik, Tracy Scoggins, Bill Mumy, Patricia Tallman, Jeffery Sinclair, Paul Guyet, Anthony Hansen, Phil LaMarr, Mara Junot, Piotr Michael, Andrew Morgado and Rebecca Riedy. The Warner Bros. Animation production is based on the 90s live-action sci-fi TV series (scored by Christopher Franke) and follows John Sheridan as he unexpectedly finds himself transported through multiple timelines and alternate realities in a quest to find his way back home. ‘Hilda and the Mountain King’ Soundtrack Album Released

Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the animated feature Hilda and the Mountain King. The album features the film’s original score composed by Ryan Carlson (Abby Hatcher, Fuzzly Catcher) who also composed the music for the Hilda TV series. Also included is the end credits song Another Road performed by Rachel Aggs. Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the soundtrack. Composer Steven Price (Gravity, Last Night in Soho, Our Planet, Suicide Squad, Baby Driver, Fury, Over the Moon) is reteaming with director Tom Harper (Wild Rose, The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death) on the upcoming Netflix original film Heart of Stone. The action thriller starring Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, Sophie Okonedo, Alia Bhatt, Matthias Schweighöfer, Paul Ready & Jing Lusi revolves around an intelligence operative for a shadowy global peacekeeping agency who races to stop a hacker from stealing its most valuable and dangerous weapon. ‘Little Richard: I Am Everything’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Varèse Sarabande and Craft Recordings have announced a soundtrack album for the documentary Little Richard: I Am Everything. The album features some Little Richard’s best-known hits, as well as two previously unreleased covers from Valerie June and Cory Henry. Also included is a track from the film’s original score composed by Tamar-kali (Mudbound, Shirley, The Assistant, Palmer). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. A CD version is set to be released on September 8 (visit Amazon to pre-order) and a vinyl edition is scheduled to come out this December (click here to order). A “Tutti Frutti” color presssing of the LP edition is available to order exclusively on the labels’ websites. Little Richard: I Am Everything is directed by Lisa Cortés and tells the story of the Black queer origins of rock n’ roll and explores the whitewashed canon of American pop music to reveal the innovator Richard Penniman. BMG has released a soundtrack album for the mystery thriller The Tutor. The album features the film’s original score composed by Alexander Bornstein (Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, First to the Moon, Black Site Delta) and performed by the Budapest Art Orchestra. Also included are songs by Jude & the Strangers and Reagan Richards, as well as a piece from Georg Friedrich Handel’s opera Xerxes. MVKA will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Lamya’s Poem. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, The Personal History of David Copperfield, Veep, Schmigadoon!, Mickey Mouse, The Lion Guard). The soundtrack is set to be released on September 15, 2023 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Fireflies) is already available to stream/download now and can also be checked out after the jump. Lamya’s Poem is directed by Alexander Kronemer and features the voices of Millie Davis, Mena Massoud, Aya Brin and Farah Tahir. ‘Barracuda Queens’ Soundtrack Album Released

Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the Swedish Netflix original series Barracuda Queens. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Joakim Åhlund (of the Swedish bands Caesars & Teddybears). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Barracuda Queens is created by Camilla Ahlgren and stars Alva Bratt, Tindra Monsen, Sandra Zubovic, Tea Stjärne, Sarah Gustafsson, Mirja Turestedt, Johannes Kuhnke and Izabella Scorupco. The heist drama directed by Amanda Adolfsson is inspired by real events and follows a group of young women in an affluent Stockholm suburb who turn to robbing their neighbors’ houses when they fall deep into debt. Globe Soundtrack & Score will release a soundtrack album for the film adaptation of the stage musical Greatest Days. The album features the Take That hit songs from the film performed by the movie’s cast. Also included are selections of the musical’s score composed by Oli Julian (Sex Education, The Full Monty, Breeders, Catastrophe) & Nick Foster (Thunderbirds Are Go, Misha and the Wolves, In My Skin) who also provided the song arrangements. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 16 and will be available to stream/download here. A CD version will be coming out later this summer and is available for pre-order on Amazon. ‘To Catch a Killer’ Soundtrack to Be Released

Atlantic Screen Music/Filmtrax will release a soundtrack album for the crime thriller To Catch a Killer. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Carter Burwell (Carol, The Banshees of Inisherin, Fargo, Twilight, True Grit, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, June 16 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. To Catch a Killer is co-written and directed by Damián Szifron and stars Shailene Woodley, Ben Mendelsohn, Jovan Adepo and Ralph Ineson. The movie is set in Baltimore and follows a talented but troubled police officer who is recruited by the chief investigator of the FBI to help profile and track down a disturbed individual terrorizing the city.
