The full details of the soundtrack album for Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Queen, The Shape of Water, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow). Also included are the songs from the movie, including the original tracks You Can’t Wake Up If You Don’t Fall Asleep co-written (with Richard Hawley) and performed by Jarvis Cocker and Dear Alien (Who Art In Heaven) written by Cocker, Hawley & Anderson and performed by the movie’s cast (listen to the full track below), as well as songs by Slim Whitman, Bing Crosby, Burl Ives, Tex Ritter, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Johnny Duncan, Eddy Arnold & others. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish Netflix original series Smiley. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Arnau Bataller (A Perfect Day, The Vault, [REC] 4: Apocalypse, The Chosen, Prey). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Smiley is created by Guillem Clua based on his own play and stars Miki Esparbé, Carlos Cuevas, Meritxell Calvo, Pepón Nieto, Giannina Fruttero, Ruth Llopis, Eduardo Lloveras and Ramon Pujol. Republic Records has released a digital single featuring the songs from the third episode of the HBO original series The Idol. The 3-track single includes the tracks A Lesser Man & Take Me Back co-written (with Mike Dean, Sam Levinson and Jason “DaHeala” Quenneville) and performed by Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, as well as the song Get It B4 co-written (with Roman GianArthur & Jarrett Goodly) and performed by Moses Sumney.
