A24 Music will release the official soundtrack album for Matt Johnson’s biographical drama Tony. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jay McCarrol (Blackberry, Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie, The Kid Detective, Hell of a Summer, Operation Avalanche). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, August 7 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Tony is co-written and directed by Johnson and stars Dominic Sessa, Emilia Jones, Antonio Banderas, Leo Woodall, Dagmara Dominczyk, Stavros Halkias and Rich Sommers. The movie follows 19-year old Anthony Bourdain as he travels to Provincetown and stumbles into the chaotic world of a restaurant kitchen, setting off a summer that will shape the course of his life. The drama will be released in select theaters on August 7 before expanding nationwide on August 21.
