John Gürtler & Jan Miserre (A Mouthful of Air, For Jojo, Space Dogs, Kids Run, Fig Tree) have teamed up to score the upcoming drama The Outrun. The film is directed by Nora Fingscheidt (The Unforgivable) and stars Saoirse Ronan, Paapa Essiedu, Stephen Dillane and Saskia Reeve. The movie is based on Amy Liptrot’s bestselling memoir and follows a woman who returns to Scotland’s wild Orkney Islands after coming out of rehab and reconnects with the dramatic landscape where she grew up. Magic Light Pictures has released a soundtrack album for the animated special Tabby McTat. The album features the film’s original score composed by René Aubry (The Gruffalo, The Bears’ Famous Invasion of Sicily, The Smeds and the Smoos, Zog, Superworm, Under the Bombs, Room on the Broom). Also included is the Tabby McTat Song written by Julia Donaldson and performed by Rob Brydon & Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísú (check out the official music video after the jump). La-La Land Records has announced a soundtrack album for the 1983 James Bond movie Octopussy directed by John Glen and starring Roger Moore, Maud Adams, Louis Jourdan, Kristina Wayborn and Kabir Bedi. The 40th Anniversary Edition album features the remastered and expanded original score from the film composed by Academy Award winner John Barry (Dances with Wolves, Goldfinger, Out of Africa, Somewhere in Time, The Man with the Golden Gun, Body Heat), including previously unreleased music. Also included is the opening theme song All Time High written by Barry, featuring lyrics by Tim Rice and performed by Rita Coolidge.
