Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the horror comedy Renfield directed by Chris McKay and starring Nicholas Hoult, Nicolas Cage, Awkwafina, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Ben Schwartz, Brandon Scott Jones and Adrian Martinez. The film’s original music is composed by Marco Beltrami (Scream, A Quiet Place, Logan, 3:10 to Yuma, Ford v. Ferrari, The Hurt Locker). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the supernatural horror thriller The Pope’s Exorcist directed by Julius Avery and starring Russell Crowe, Daniel Zovatto, Alex Essoe and Franco Nero. Jed Kurzel (Alien: Covenant, The Babadook, Overlord, Macbeth, The Mustang, The Oxford Murders, Assassin’s Creed) has composed the film’s original music. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Legacy Recordings will release a new soundtrack album for the Amazon original series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. The album features the songs from the show’s fifth and final season, including eight new original cast recordings and covers, as well as several classics by artists such as Dinah Washington, Barbra Streisand, Doris Day, Tony Bennett & others.
