Premiering tonight is the National Geographic original documentary series Secrets of the Penguins executive produced by James Cameron, produced by Bertie Gregory and narrated by Blake Lively. The show’s original music is composed by Nainita Desai (The Deepest BreathNautilus, For SamaThe Tower, Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, The Reason I JumpFunny Woman, Crossfire). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Friday. Premiering tomorrow, April 21, is the Netflix original documentary Pangolin: Kulu’s Journey directed by Pippa Ehrlich and produced by Ehrlich, George Chignell, Jessica Grimshaw and Nick Shumaker. Anne Nikitin (American AnimalsThe Dropout, Hijack, Fate: The Winx SagaI.S.S., Mrs. Wilson, Dangerous LiaisonsLost GirlsThe Pale Horse) has composed the film’s original music. Premiering on Tuesday, April 22, is the Disneynature documentary  Sea Lions of the Galapagos directed by Hugh Wilson, co-directed by Keith Scholey, produced by Wilson, Scholey & Roy Conli and narrated by Brendan Fraser. The film’s original music is composed by Raphaelle Thibaut  (Secrets of the WhalesHeart of Invictus, Mama’s Boy, Introducing, Selma Blair). Also premiering on Tuesday is the second season of Lucasfilm’s Disney+ original series Andor created by Tony Gilroy and starring Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgård, Denise Gough, Genevieve O’Reilly, Adria Arjona, Kyle Soller, Ben Mendelsohn and Forest Whitaker. Brandon Roberts (Thanksgiving, Fear Street Part 2: 1978, Chaos WalkingLand of Bad, Motherland: Fort SalemUnderwater, On a Wing and a PrayerThe Twilight Zone) has composed the music for most of the new episodes, while Season 1 composer Nicholas Britell (Succession, Moonlight, Cruella, If Beale Street Could Talk) scored two episodes and is being credited for providing “additional themes” on the rest of the episodes. Walt Disney Records will release four soundtrack albums featuring music from all twelve episodes of Season 2. Premiering on Wednesday, April 23, is the Japanese Netflix original film Bullet Train Explosion directed by Shinji Higuchi and starring Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, Kanata Hosoda, Non, Machiko Ono, Jun Kaname, Hana Toyoshima, Satoru Matsuo, Daisuke Kuroda, Suzuka Ohgo and Matsuya Onoe. The movie’s original music is composed by Taisei Iwasaki (Belle, Blood Blockade Battlefront) and Yuma Yamaguchi. A soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score will be announced soon. The action thriller, which is set on a Tokyo-bound bullet train that will explode if it slows below 100 kph, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
