Hippocampus has released a soundtrack album for the first French Max limited series The Confidante (Une amie dévouée). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Rob (aka Robin Coudert) (Revenge, Maniac, Gretel & Hansel, Other People’s Children, Never Let Go, Horns, Amityville: The Awakening, Troy: Fall of a City). Dragon’s Domain Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1993 Showtime neo-noir anthology series Fallen Angels developed by Steve Golin, created by William Horberg and executive produced by Sydney Pollack. The album features selections of the original music from the drama’s second season composed by Peter Bernstein (21 Jump Street, Bolero, The Ewok Adventure, My Science Project). Also included is the project’s main title theme written by Elmer Bernstein (The Magnificent Seven, To Kill a Mockingbird, Ghostbusters, Airplane, Far from Heaven). ‘John Williams: In Concert’ Album Announced

Deutsche Grammophon has announced John Williams: In Concert, a unique collection of the label’s recordings with the Hollywood icon. The album brings together performances of film music from the Berliner Philharmoniker, Saito Kinen Orchestra and Wiener Philharmoniker, as well as the world premiere recording of Williams’s Second Violin Concerto, with soloist Anne-Sophie Mutter and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The record is being released as a 7-LP vinyl (180-gram) boxset in butterfly fan packaging and is now available to order on Amazon. In addition, the label has also announced a 12-inch picture disc vinyl, cut in the shape of the iconic Darth Vader’s helmet, featuring four different recordings of John Williams’ Imperial March from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, including the premiere release of the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s version of the track, which is also available as a digital single in most international markets.
