‘Senna’ Soundtrack Details

Decca Records will be releasing a soundtrack album for the documentary Senna. The album includes the original score by composer Antonio Pinto. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 28, 2011. Check out audio clips from all tracks on the album below and visit Amazon to download the album. Senna is directed by Asif Kapadia and centers on the Brazilian Formula One racing driver Ayrton Senna, who won the F1 world championship three times before his death at age 34. Rolfe Kent has signed on to score the crime comedy Gambit. The movie is directed by Michael Hoffman and stars Colin Firth as a London art curator who enlists a Texas rodeo queen, played by Cameron Diaz, in a scheme to con the richest men of Canada. Stanley Tucci, Alan Richman, Cloris Leachman and Sir Tom Courtenay are co-starring. The screenplay for the remake of the 1966 film with the same title starring Michael Caine and Shirley McQueen is written by Joel and Ethan Coen. Mike Lobell (Tears of the Sun), Adam Ripp and Rob Paris (Dirty Girl) are producing the project. Read the rest of this entry »

Nicholas Pike is the composer of the upcoming miniseries Bag of Bones. The project based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel is directed by Mick Garris who previously helmed the TV adaptations of The Stand and The Shining. The four-hour miniseries stars Pierce Brosnan as a man who is unable to stop grieving for his deceased wife. After returning to the lakeside retreat they shared, he inadvertently gets involved in a local custody battle – while having nightmares about his dead wife. Melissa George, Annabeth Gish, Anika Noni Rose, William Schallert, Jason Priestley and Caitlin Carmichael are co-starring. Read the rest of this entry »

L’R du Trésor has released a soundtrack album for the French social satire Polisse. The album features the original score by Academy Award-winning composer Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love), as well as four songs from the movie by Anne Germain, Breakbot, Keedz and Urban Species. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon and audio clips from each track can be checked out below. Polisse is directed by Maïwenn Le Besco who also stars in the film as a journalist working on a story about the lives of cops assigned to a Paris juvenile division. Paul Haslinger is currently scoring the action horror sequel Underworld Awakening. Kate Beckinsale is returning as Selene who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species. Sandrine Holt, Michael Ealy and India Eisley are co-starring and Mans Marlin and Bjorn Stein (Storm, Shelter) are directing the latest installment of the franchise. Len Wiseman is producing the Screen Gems and Lakeshore production alongside Tom Rosenberg & Gary Lucchesi (Million Dollar Baby). ‘The Cup’ Soundtrack Released

Rubber Records has released a soundtrack album for the Australian drama The Cup. The album includes the original score from the movie by composer Bruce Rowland (The Man from Snowy River, Lightning Jack). The soundtrack is available as a digital release on Amazon. Audio clips can be checked out after the jump. The Cup is directed by Simon Wincer (Quigley Down Under, Free Willy) and stars Brendan Gleeson, Stephen Curry, Daniel MacPherson and Tom Berlinson. Clint Mansell Scores Sony’s ‘Two Worlds’ Spot

Clint Mansell has written the music for a new spot promoting Sony’s new 3D television. The spot, entitled Two Worlds, is directed by Arev Manoukian and features the poem “That’s What I Heard You Say”, written and read by Leonard Cohen. Mansell recorded his music for the project at Air Studios in London. ‘Will’ Soundtrack Details

Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the soundtrack release for the British drama Will. The album features the original score from the film composed by Nigel Clarke and Michael Csányi-Wills (The Little Vampire, The Thief Lord). The music was recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra and Choir in Abbey Road’s famous Studio One. The soundtrack will be released on iTunes on November 1, 2011. A physical version of the album is also coming out in Europe on the same day. Will based on the historic “Miracle of Istanbul” is directed by Ellen Perry and stars Bob Hoskins, Damian Lewis, Perry Eggelton and Kristian Kiehling. The film chronicles an orphan’s journey across Europe to the 2005 Champions League Final in Istanbul. Read the rest of this entry »

Atlantic Records will be releasing the official soundtrack album for the family movie sequel Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked. The album features the songs from the movie performed by The Chipmunks & The Chipettes. The soundtrack will be released on November 15, 2011 and is available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips from all songs on the album can be checked out below. None of Mark Mothersbaugh’s orginal score from the film is included on the album. Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked is directed by Mike Mitchell  and stars Jason Lee, David Cross, Jenny Slate, Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Jesse McCartney, Amy Poehler, Anna Faris and Christina Applegate. 20th Century Fox will release the movie on December 16. Sony Classical will be releasing the soundtrack album for Dreamworks Animation’s Puss in Boots. The album features the original score from composer Henry Jackman who collaborated with Rodrigo y Gabriela on the movie as previously reported on this page. The soundtrack will be released on October 24, 2011 and will be available as a digital release on Amazon. A physical release has been announced overseas, but no word yet on a domestic release. Audio clips from all tracks on the album can be checked out after the jump. Puss in Boots is directed by Chris Miller (Shrek the Third) and features the voice talent of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis and Billy Bob Thornton.
