Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack CD release for Hal Ashby’s 1976 film Bound for Glory starring David Carradine. The album features the previously unreleased original score from the film composed by Leonard Rosenman (Barry Lyndon), as well as the content of the original 1976 album featuring the tunes of Woody Guthrie, which were adapted for the project by Rosenman who received the Academy Award in the Best Music, Original Song Score and Its Adaptation or Best Adaptation Score category for his work on the film. ‘Butter’ Score Album Announced

Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the satirical comedy Butter. The album features the film’s original score composed by Mateo Messina (Juno). The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 2, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips can be checked out below. Butter is directed by Jim Field Smith (She’s Out of My League) and stars Jennifer Garner, Olivia Wilde, Hugh Jackman, Ty Burrell, Yara Shahidi, Alicia Silverstone, Ashley Greene, Rob Corddry and Kristen Schaal. Atli Orvarsson is currently scoring the new NBC drama Chicago Fire. The show is created by Michael Brandt & Derek Haas (3:10 to Yuma, Wanted) and stars Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, Lauren German, Monica Raymund, Charlie Barnett, Teri Reeves, David Eigenberg and Eamonn Walker. The series follows the lives of the firefighters, rescue squad and paramedics working at the Chicago Fire Department at the firehouse of Engine 51. Brandt and Haas are also executive producing the Universal Television and Wolf Films Production with Dick Wolf (Law & Order), Matt Olmstead (Prison Break), Joe Chappelle (Fringe), Danielle Gelber and Peter Jankowski. ‘The Good Doctor’ Soundtrack Details

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the indie drama The Good Doctor. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brian Byrne who recently was nominated in the Discovery of the Year category at the World Soundtrack Awards for his work on last year’s Albert Nobbs. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 30, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips from the score can be checked out after the jump. The Good Doctor directed by Lance Daly and starring Orlando Bloom, Riley Keough, Taraji B. Henson, Rob Morrow and Michael Pena follows a doctor who meets an 18-year-old patient suffering from a kidney infection and begins tampering with her treatment when her health starts improving. A number of new TV shows are premiering this week:

Premiering this Monday, September 17 on NBC is the new drama Revolution created by Eric Kripke, produced by J.J. Abrams and starring Billy Burke, Tracy Spiridako, Elizabeth Mitchell, Anna Lise Phillips, Zak Orth and Giancarlo Esposito. Christopher Lennertz (Horrible Bosses, Hop) who is also scoring the Kripke-created CW series Supernatural is writing the original music for the sci-fi show, which follows follows a group of people struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist. ‘Cleanskin’ Soundtrack Released

MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the British thriller Cleanskin. The album features the film’s original music composed by Simon Lambros (The Last Horror Movie). The soundtrack has been released digitally earlier this week and is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also check out audio clips. Cleanskin is written and directed by Hadi Hajaig and stars Sean Bean as a Secret Service Agent who is faced with the task of pursuing and eliminating a suicide bomber and his terrorist cell. Abhin Galeya, Charlotte Rampling, James Fox, Tuppence Middleton, Shivani Ghai and Michelle Ryan are co-starring in the film. The Creative Arts Emmy Awards were handed out this afternoon at the NOKIA Theatre LA LIVE in downtown Los Angeles. Javier Navarrete won his first Emmy Award for his score for HBO’s original movie Hemingway & Gellhorn in the Music Composition for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special (Original Dramatic Score) category. John Lunn received the award for his music for Downtown Abbey in the Outstandig Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score) category. Paul Englishby also received his first Emmy in the Outstanding Main Title Theme Music category for his theme for BBC’s Page Eight directed by David Hare and starring Bill Nighy, Rachel Weisz and Ralph Fiennes. Alexandre Desplat has been hired to score the upcoming thriller Zero Dark Thirty. The film is helmed by Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker) and stars Jessica Chastain, Joel Edgerton, Fares Fares, Jason Clarke, Mark Strong, Edgar Ramirez, Chris Pratt, Kyle Chandler, Nash Edgerton, Jennifer Ehle and Harold Perrineau Jr. Mark Boal who collaborated with Bigelow on The Hurt Locker has written the screenplay and is also producing the film with the director and Megan Ellison. Bigelow has previously worked with such composers as Marco Beltrami & Buck Sanders (The Hurt Locker), Mark Isham (Point Break), Klaus Badelt (K-19: The Widowmaker) and Graeme Revell (Strange Days). Two new movies are opening in wide release this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the video game adaptation sequel Resident Evil: Retribution directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and starring Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Johann Urb, Li Bingbing, Shawn Roberts, Kevin Durand, Oded Fehr, Boris Kodjoe and Michelle Rodriguez. The film’s score is composed by tomandandy (The Strangers) who have scored the previous installment in the series. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer duo’s score, as well the end credits song Hexes produced by Bassnectar featuring Chino Moreno (of the Deftones) on vocals. Also opening wide is the 3D re-release of Pixar’s animated hit feature Finding Nemo directed by Andrew Stanton and featuring the voice talent of Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks and Alexander Gould. The film’s music is composed by Thomas Newman who received an Academy Award-nomination for his work on the film. No new soundtrack has been released, but the original 2003 album is still in print (click here to download the album). The details of the soundtrack album for the crime thriller remake of Pusher have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by the British electronic dance music duo Orbital (Phil and Paul Hartnoll).
