Trevor Jones has recently scored the adventure mini-series Labyrinth. The series is directed by Christopher Smith (Severance, Triangle) and is based on the bestseller by Kate Mosse. Adrian Hodges (My Week With Marilyn, Primeval) has adapted the material for television. The four-hour mini-series’ cast includes Jessica Brown Findlay, Tom Felton, John Hurt, Sebastian Stan, Vanessa Kirby, Emun Elliott, Tony Curran, John Lynch and Bernhard Schir. Labyrinth is set against the backdrop of the Crusades and the Cathar massacres and tells two connected stories of a young woman living in Carcassonne in 1209 and a modern-day archaeologist who makes a startling discovery in a cave in the South of France. ‘Haute Cuisine’ Soundtrack Details

Sony Music will be releasing a soundtrack album for the French comedy Haute Cuisine (Les saveurs du palais). The album features the film’s original music written by Academy Award-winning composer Gabriel Yared (The English Patient, The Talented Mr. Ripley). The soundtrack will be released in France on September 17, 2012. Click here to listen to audio clips of all 14 tracks on the album. Haute Cuisine directed by Christian Vincent and starring Catherine Frot and Jean D’Ormesson follows a renowned chef who is appointed by President François Mitterrand as his personal cook. Sony Classical is set to release two of this year’s most anticipated soundtracks, including the album for the latest James Bond film Skyfall. The release features the film’s music composed by Thomas Newman. The soundtrack is set to be released overseas on October 22, 2012 and is expected to come out in the US around the same time. Skyfall directed by Sam Mendes and starring Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney and Ben Whishaw marks Newman’s first film in the Bond series. ‘For a Good Time, Call…’ Score Album Announced

Lakeshore Records has announced a score album for the indie comedy For a Good Time, Call… The album features the film’s original score composed by John Swihart (Napoleon Dynamite, How I Met Your Mothers). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 11, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips can be checked out below. As previously announced, the label has also released a separate soundtrack album featuring the movie’s songs. Alex Heffes to Score ‘The Tomb’

Alex Heffes is reuniting with director Mikael Hafstrom on the upcoming action thriller The Tomb. The film starring Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger follows an expert on structural security who is put to the test when he is framed and put in a high-security prison of his own design and must find the person who put him there. Amy Ryan, Jim Caviezel, Vincent D’Onofrio, Vinnie Jones, Sam Neill and 50 Cent are also starring in the film. Richard Horowitz Scoring ‘Intersection’

Richard Horowitz is scoring the upcoming thriller Intersection. The film is written and directed by David Marconi (screenwriter of Enemy of the State) and stars Frank Grillo (The Grey, Warrior) as a newlywed husband whose wife plots his murder on their honeymoon in Morocco. Roschdy Zem (Days Of Glory) Marie-Josée Croze (The Diving Bell And The Butterfly), Charley Bewley (Twilight) and Jaimie Alexander (Thor) are also starring in the film. Luc Besson and Gareth Upton (Colombiana) are producing the film for EuropaCorp (Taken, Transporter series). Horowitz is best known for co-scoring Oliver Stone’s Any Given Sunday and Bernardo Bertolucci’s 1990 drama The Sheltering Sky, for which he won the Golden Globe with composer Ryuichi Sakamoto. Intersection and is set to be released in France on November 28, 2012 and a release in the US is expected in 2013.

MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the teen comedy High School. The album features the film’s original score composed by The Newton Brothers (Detachment, Setup). The soundtrack has been released today and is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also check out audio clips from the album. High School marks the directorial feature debut of John Stalberg and stars Adrien Brody, Michael Chiklis, Sean Marquette, Matt Bush, Adhir Calyan and Colin Hanks. Paul Haslinger to Score John Stockwell’s ‘Code Name: Geronimo’

Paul Haslinger has been tapped to score the upcoming action thriller Code Name: Geromino. The film is directed by John Stockwell and centers on the military incursion into Osama Bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan from the perspective of a small contingent of Navy SEALS. The movie stars Cam Gigandet, Xzibit, Freddy Rodriguez, Anson Mount, Kathleen Robertson, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Kenneth Miller, Robert Knepper and William Fichtner. Kendall Lampkin has written the screenplay and Nicolas Chartier (The Hurt Locker, Killer Joe), Tony Mark and Zev Foreman are producing the Voltage Pictures production. Stockwell has collaborated with Haslinger on several of his movies before, including Crazy/Beautiful, Blue Crush, Into the Blue, and Turistas. The Weinstein Company has picked up domestic rights for Code Name: Geronimo. The film is currently in post-production and is awaiting a release date.
