Dickon Hinchliffe is the composer of the upcoming indie comedy drama Hateship, Loveship. The film is directed by Liza Johnson (Return) and stars Kristen Wiig, Guy Pearce, Hailee Steinfeld, Nick Nolte, Christine Lahti and Jennifer Jason Leigh. The movie on follows a nanny who is set up romantically by the granddaughter of an old man she takes care of. Mark Poirier (Smart People, Goats) wrote the screenplay based on Alice Munro’s novel Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage. Dylan Sellers (Footloose, Agent Cody Banks), Cassian Elwes (The Paperboy, Men at Work), Robert Ogden Barnum, Jamin O’Brien, Michael Benaroya (Margin Call, Lawless) are producing the Benaroya Pictures production. Bellwether Records will release the official soundtrack album for the new film adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. The album features the film’s original score composed by Joss Whedon who has also written, directed and produced the movie. Film composer Deborah Lurie (Dear John, 9, An Unfinished Life) served as the score’s producer. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 6, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. Much Ado About Nothing stars Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof as Beatrice and Benedick, the world’s least likely lovers headed for their inevitable tumble into love. Nathan Fillion, Clark Gregg, Fran Kranz, Reed Diamond, Tom Lenk and Sean Maher are co-starring. W.G. Snuggy Walden is currently scoring the CBS summer series Under the Dome. The show is an adaptation of Stephen King’s bestselling novel and is produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment and DreamWorks Television. The limited 13-episodes series is set in Chester’s Mill, a small New England town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The show’s cast includes Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, Colin Ford, Natalie Martinez, Alexander Koch, Britt Robertson, Nicholas Strong, Jolene Purdy, Aisha Hinds and Dean Norris. Spielberg is executive producing the project with King, Neil Baer (ER, A Gifted Man), Brian K. Sony Classical to Release James Horner’s ‘Romeo & Juliet’ Score

Sony Classical will release the soundtrack album for Carlo Carlei’s upcoming film adaptation of Romeo & Juliet. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Academy Award-winning composer James Horner. According to Amazon.co.uk, the soundtrack will be released in the UK on July 22, 2013. Check back on this page for the full album details. Romeo & Juliet based on Shakepeare’s play and adapted for the screen by Julian Fellowes (Gosford Park) stars Douglas Booth and Hailee Steinfeld in the title roles. The movie’s cast also includes Damian Lewis, Natascha McElhone, Lesley Manville, Ed Westwick, Paul Giamatti, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Stellan Skarsgard. The movie will be released in the UK on July 26. Jenny Lewis and Johnathan Rice to Score ‘Song One’

According to The Hollywood Reporter/Billboard, Jenny Lewis and Johnathan Rice are set to score the upcoming musical drama Song One. The movie stars Anne Hathaway, Mary Steenburgen and British folk artist Johnny Flynn and follows a young woman who develops a relationship with her comatose brother’s favorite indie rock star. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Kate Barker-Froyland who also wrote the screenplay. Christopher Woodrow (The Immigrant, Blood Ties) and Molly Conners are producing the project alongside Hathaway, Marc Platt (Drive, Wanted, Legally Blonde), Jonathan Demme (The Silence of the Lambs) and Adam Shulman. Paramount Music and La-La Land Records will release a soundtrack album for the mini-series Into the West. The album features the Emmy Award-winning score composed by Geoff Zanelli (Disturbia, The Odd Life of Timothy Green). Paramount Music will distribute the digital version of the soundtrack, with La-La Land Records handling the physical release. The 2-disc album will be released on June 18, 2013. Into the West produced by DreamWorks Television and Steven Spielberg chronicles the struggles, heartache and conquests of two families in 19th century America. Marcelo Zarvos has composed the score for the upcoming comedy The Hot Flashes. The film is directed by Susan Seidelman (Desperately Seeking Susan, She-Devil) and stars Brooke Shields, Wanda Sykes, Virginia Madsen, Daryl Hannah, Camryn Manheim, Mark Povinelli and Eric Roberts. The movie follows an unlikely group of middle-aged women who challenge the high school girls’ state basketball champs to raise money for a mobile breast cancer screening unit. Brad Henning wrote the screenplay and is also producing the project with Nina Henderson Moore (Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day) and Seidelman.
