The film stars La La Anthony, Michael Ealy, Jerry Ferrara, Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Terrence J, Jenifer Lewis, Romany Malco, Gary Owen and Gabrielle Union who reprise their roles from the original Think Like a Man film and follows the couples on a trip to Las Vegas for a wedding. They are joined by new cast members Adam Brody, Wendi McLendon-Covey and David Walton.  Keith Merryman & David A. rising-sunKritzerland has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1993 thriller Rising Sun directed by Philip Kaufman, based on a novel by Michael Crichton who also co-wrote the screenplay and starring Sean Connery, Wesley Snipes and Harvey Keitel. The album features the expanded score from the movie composed and conducted by Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu (Ran, Harakiri, Black Rain), including over 40 minutes of previously unreleased music. The soundtrack also features Duke Ellington’s Single Petal of a Rose and Cole Porter’s Don’t Fence Me In. heitor-pereiraHeitor Pereira has been tapped to compose the music for the upcoming supernatural drama If I Stay. The film based on the 2009 young-adult novel by Gayle Forman is directed by R.J. Cutler (The September Issue, Nashville) and is set to star Chloe Moretz, Mireille Enos and Jamie Blackley. The movie centers on a teenager who has an out-of-body experience following a car accident which puts her in a coma and kills the rest of her family. Shauna Cross (Whip It, What to Expect When You’re Expecting) is adapting the novel for the screen. Denise DiNovi (Crazy, Stupid, Love, Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhand) and Alison Greenspan (Monte Carlo, Ramona and Beezus) are producing the MGM and Summit Entertainment co-production for DiNovi Pictures. The album features the film’s original score composed by Christopher Drake who previously scored such titles as Batman: Under the Red Hood and Batman: Gotham Knight. The soundtrack will be released on October 8, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns directed by Jay Oliva is a two-part film based on Frank Miller’s comic book of the same title. The movie’s voice cast includes Peter Weller, Ariel Winter, David Selby, Wade Williams, Michael Emerson and Mark Valley. A deluxe edition of the film will be released on October 8 on Blu-ray and DVD. Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica) is scoring the show weekly with a full orchestra. The album features the film’s original score by Ryan Miller (Safety Not Guaranteed, The Kings of Summer) who is best known as the lead singer and principal songwriter for the alt-rock band Guster. In a World is written and directed by Lake Bell who also stars in the film alongside  Demetri Martin, Michaela Watkins, Ken Marino, Rob Corddry, Fred Melamed, Nick Offerman, Alexandra Holden and Geena Davis. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

prisonersExpected to top the weekend box office is the dramatic thriller Prisoners directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Maria Bello, Terrance Howard, Viola Davis, Melissa Leo and Paul Dano. Jóhann Jóhannsson (Personal Effects, For Ellen) has composed the film’s score. WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music earlier this week. The film’s original score is composed by Christopher Lennertz (Horrible Bosses, Revolution, Identity Thief). Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the film earlier this week. The album features a suite from the composer’s score, as well as the songs featured in the movie by such artists as The Roots, Chubb Rock, Kool Kojak, Speedometer, Digital Underground and PC’s Ltd. The soundtrack features the film’s original music composed by Steve Jablonsky (Transformers trilogyBattleship, Gangster Squad). The soundtrack will be released on October 22, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Ender’s Game is directed by Gavin Hood and stars Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, Abigail Breslin and Harrison Ford. The movie based on the classic novel by Orson Scott Card follows a genius strategist who is recruited by the government to help destroy an insect-like alien race and will be released nationwide on November 1 by Summit Entertainment/Lionsgate.
